Alex Tettey will discover the extent of the problem that forced him off against Burnley on Monday, adding to Norwich’s current injury woes. Daniel Farke’s squad depth is being stretched to the limit after both Tettey and goalkeeper Tim Krul picked up knocks at Turf Moor on Saturday as the Canaries were brought back down to earth by Sean Dyche’s side.
Tettey limped off just after Chris Wood had opened the scoring for the Clarets and, with midfielders Tom Trybull and Mario Vrancic already out, Moritz Leitner got his chance to come on 13 minutes into the Premier League game. With Grant Hanley now back to full fitness, the Scotsman could line-up next to Godfrey against Crystal Palace on Saturday to allow Amadou back into his natural position of midfield.

Tim Krul also injured himself during the warm-up when he felt a twinge in his back and needed painkillers to get through the 90 minutes. And with Ralf Fahrmann having recently joined the casualty list with a groin issue that means third-choice keeper Michael McGovern could be between the posts for City at Selhurst Park.
But Farke said: “I totally trust Michael McGovern if he had to play but Tim was in his rhythm and we hope he is available for Crystal Palace. Michael is experienced enough. I am more concerned about other positions. I hope Tim will be able to go for the next game and we have a good outcome with Alex. We need to calm down the load this week.”
