‘It Was A Fantastic Performance’ –Dessers Excited With Feyenoord’s Draw At Slavia Prague

Cyriel Dessers is in buoyant mood following Feyenoord’s thrilling 2-2 draw against Slavia Prague at the Sinobo Stadium on Thursday night.

The Nigeria international scored twice after coming on as a substitute in the game.

“We drew but it feels like a big win because we have qualified as group winner for the next stage,”Dessers told UEFA.com.

“You could see after the game that we were so happy with this point against a very good team. We fought like a whole team during the whole game. It was fantastic performance.”

Dessers also reflected on his goals which helped Arne Slot’s side secure top spot in the group and a place in the knockout stages.

“It is my job as striker to score of course but if you score two goals against such a strong team in an important match it is fantastic! Which one did I like more? I don’t score a lot of headers so I liked the second one more; the first was a nice turn and good finish with my left foot but the second one was very, very nice. If you see the ball going into the net like that, it is superb feeling.”

My love for this striker Dessers is what I can’t explain. I don’t know why he -Gernot Rohr, does not fancy this guy instead of Musa, Moses Simon, Ighalo, and the other sex party players. I am beginning to think, a lot of these folks are bribing their way to the Super Eagles. This guy should have been playing for Belgium, I wonder why we wasted his time. This is really sad.

You watch Cyriel ‘The Serial Assassin’ Dessers on Feyenoord’s YouTube extended highlights, and you wonder how a player with an average of less than 30 minutes game time would be having about four clear shots/attempts on goal and scoring more than in half those attempts.

Nigeria Super Eagles have a free ‘brand new jandon year rubber’ available, yet opting for worn-out recycled Naija used.

Hope we don’t regret when Belgium pounce and cap him officially, seeing Dessers isn’t yet tied up to Nigeria.

    GOOD GOALS.
GOD WILL PUT YOUR ENEMIES INTO SHAME & CONTINUE HELPING YOU TO SCORE GOALS. AND MAKE SURPRISE INCLUSION INTO SUPER EAGLE AFCON SQUAD.
***WE LOVE YOU & BELIEVE IN YOU***

  • Awoniyi, Dresser, Peter olayinka, Moffi, Sadiq, Dennis all excluded from our National team because G. Rohr is corrupt, most of us are refusing to call him out because he is a white man. The Super Eagles have never lost to so many countries in Africa as it has done under Rohr. Check this out – Congo, Morocco, Madagascar, Car, South Africa, Algeria twice, Cameroun. And many Nigerians are still of the opinion that he will go to Cameroun to perform magic but i beg to disagree with you all. The best time to kick this man’s ass is now, so the the new man will have time to work with the team during Afcon and be better prepared for the 2nd round of the World Cup qualifiers

    • I know makes me livid that this useless quack who calls himself a coach is ruining a great generation of very talented, dynamic players. A sound coach would have been licking his chops ready to unleash these talents and shock the world. Instead we have a timid, archaic old man that prefers players like Musa, Ighalo, Simon who are very lethargic currently.

Anyone that looks at the current available players, see Rohrs selection and playing style after 5 years and convinced this is a good job you are even more pathetic than the old man. Have lost all respect I had for him because I know without a doubt if he was working for the German or French Federation he won’t be using this approach or will definitely have been fired by now. For those claiming he helped us qualify after missing out on tournaments well every country goes through a rough patch and rebuilding but it doesn’t take no 5-6years put a playing philosophy in place. France won 2010 and didn’t even get out the group stage 4 years later. Netherlands played in final 2010 and didn’t even qualify for 2014. Yet all these teams have rebuilt from those aging players
      and coming back stronger.

Rohr and his supporters are deceiving themselves and eventually will be exposed. You cannot mock God or the universe and will reap exactly what you sow. You cannot plant yams and go harvest peppers just like you cannot sow mediocrity, favoritism and then expect to reap excellence and success. The France, Germany’s, US, Argentina’s of the world who are bringing their best legs are not stupid and you can fast and pray from now to the tournament and you still won’t win jack shit. God/heaven rewards those that help themselves. You are insulting/ doing a disservice to God/universe when he blesses you with talent and you choose not to utilize it.

Look at Nigeria you have churches and all kinds of religious and faith places everywhere yet still poor and decrepit and look at the advanced developed countries that put in the work have way fewer churches and more atheists that don’t even believe in God. Guess what they are the most successful, blessed and prosperous countries. In fact the ppl with churches everywhere are trying to escape to the areas with way less religious ppl. Tells you how this SE things going okay out and if you think it will end differently unless they change course then deceiving yourselves

  • Great goals by dessers. He is really back to his best. A real striker and standard number 9 who knows how to finish well be it with left or right foot or heading. He shoots well. Would provide good competition for Nigerian strikers.
