It’s Annoying How Good Bellingham Is  –Barca Defender, Christensen

Barcelona and Denmark defender Andreas Christensen says it’s annoying how good Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham [pictured above] is with amazing statistics.

Real Madrid signed the England international, Bellingham, from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund in the last summer transfer window. He signed a six-year contract with the club.

The 20-year-old has set Laliga alight as he is currently the highest goalscorer in the division with eight goals and two assists in eight matches.

In an interview on Danish television TV2SPORT, as quoted by As.com, Christensen said Bellingham has conquered Laliga.

“The start of Jude Bellingham at Real Madrid? It’s annoying when you sit back and look at the results he’s getting,” Christensen said.

“Then he has been scoring in the last few games, I don’t know how many games already. He has conquered the league. Real Madrid have brought in a really good player.”

Three Lions of England right-back, Kieran Trippier, also lauded Bellingham.

“The maturity, quality and aggressiveness that Bellingham has at such a young age is terrifying,” Trripier said.

“If you play well in Madrid the fans will love you. Jude did incredible in Dortmund. He is playing with freedom and the players around him will do even better. The scary thing is that he is only 20 years old.”

The youngster is among the top goalscorers in the top five European Leagues this season despite being a midfielder.

In comparison, Harry Kane has eight goals and four assists in seven games for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga this season, and Manchester City’s Erling Haaland has eight goals and one assist in eight Premier League appearances.

Mbappe has netted seven goals in seven French Ligue 1 matches for Paris Saint-Germain and Lautaro Martinez has 10 goals and one assist in eight Serie A matches.

Bellingham has scored twice and made one assist in two UEFA Champions League games this season. He has 10 goals and three assists in 10 matches across all competitions for Los Blancos so far this term.

Real Madrid are currently top of the Laliga table with 24 points after nine matches.

What makes the situation even more interesting is that Bellingham is just 20 yrs old.
Not yet at his footballing peak. If he keeps progressing like he is doing, imagine what he will be like at the peak of his powers, usually between the ages of 23 and 28.
If England are to finally win a 2nd world cup, it will likely happen with the current generation. And with the eagle-eyed Northgate ever on the lookout to poach players that could be available to other countries, there is no shortage of talent for the 3 Lions to pull from.
England however have a notoriety for choking when it matters most. They will spank teams that are ranked below them, but they usually collapse against teams that are higher ranked, or teams that traditionally give them problems. Having big players like Kane and Bellingham playing in the biggest clubs in world football will do their chances a world of good.
