Iwobi is not a footballer. When Benitez was coach he was playing and how did it end. Iwobi should go and learn the rudiments of soccer.

      • So you are a footballer since iwobi isn’t you guys don’t even stop to criticize your own

Only the never do well people, with extremely low self esteem will rejoice at others making efforts in their endeavour. You don’t need to meet these lots personally to know them. THEY ARE SORRY BEGGERS FOR SURVIVAL.God bless ALEXANDER THE KING IWOBI. EVER SO PROUD OF YOU, WHAT YOU HAVE ACHIEVED AT SUCH YOUNG AGE WITH YOUR GOD GIVEN TALENT AND THE MANY MORE TO COME, AS ITS ONLY BAKING. AWUUUUUUUURAAAAAA. EVER PRESENT HERE AND EVERY WHERE FOR YOU DESERVING SE PLAYERS.

I like Iwobi very much… but seeing where he started from at Arsenal Academy from about the age of 9yrs or even earlier… One would expect him to be a bigname wherever he is now…

He even started very good breaking into Arsenal first team as far back as 2015/2016. As a midfielder it’s expected that he should be good on the ball (which he is) but he has failed himself in adding other essentials to his game in the modern era…

Shooting with precision (consistently), passing, end-details(final pass), pressing & closing opponents and lastly stamina and some level of decent tackling… these are the details Iwobi lacks and it’s not enough to be a fancy player anymore… See Ricardo Quaresma, Adel Tarabt and James Rodriguez… just like Iwobi these guys were off-the-shelf magicians on the ball… but that was as far as they eve got before a date with mediocrity set-in to their profiles…

These days people want to see a multidimensional players, especially midfielders… on deadballs and even heading Iwobi don’t even come into the mention… I think Nigeria ball fans have waited too long on Iwobi to to shed his slough and become that player we have always thought he could be. However… With Everton signing Dele Alli… Iwobi may just become a statistic in the category of the “what ifs”…

My advice to the youngman is to add steel and stamina to his game and learn some level of pressure marking and lace all those to his game and make it obvious… He can still go a lot better than his current operational level… Goodmorning loved ones!!!

Nicely put at Jimmyball. Anyone that ever played football will understand the many many factors that helps footballers maintain their performances as well as negatively impacts performances. To me it’s only a cycle that runs its course unto better things especially when still young.EVERTON’S MOVE TO ME SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN CONSIDERED AND I WARNED AGAINST IT BEFORE HE SIGNED. MOVING AWAY WILL CHANGE MANY THINGS.

Jimmy in short Iwobi’s game is shit at the moment. Like Glory said, nicely put. Lolzzzz lolzzzz.za za za

  • He made an assist the other day when coming on. For me he should clean that mop on his head, stay of social media and parties and focus on training harder these players should be trying to take a leaf out CR7’s Cloak. Train harder and play less. the problem with black players when they feel they have reached a certain level of fame and fortune the Lose guard simply put. I am disappointed in Iwobi really I am he had so much potential in Arsenal for me Arsenal were better off letting him go. He needs to wake up or end up playing championship football. the boy is frustrating.

@Glory… and @Iwunze… Do you guys know that Akpom and Iwobi started at Arsenal together and it was Akpom who broke into the first team consideration before him… but being very talented but Arsenal waited on Iwobi because his game and footwork is more catchy to the eyes and he comes with a sort of swagger you find with Dutch players…

Arsenal waited long enough giving him so much confidence expecting he will begin to tidy the business end of modern football properly soon, with the hope then they will have a real mercurial player on their hands. But as the years went buy he never really cemented his profile as a consistent shift-pusher and after a while they lost belief.

With his profile still somewhat high… they knew his game was eye-catching all along albeit with minimal business end-product. They swiftly cashed-in before the teflon-appeal to admirers will fall into doubts! Iwobi is his own limitation… let him search from deep within himself… the answer lies there!

Again… Like @Ugo Iwunze said up here… he can take off that mop from his head or making it a more manly short locks. I used to like the locks worn back in the days by Jules Bocande and Cyril Makanacky! What most of our players have on their heads are the spot of most gaymen around Europe from close observation and popular perception where I am… though it’s not news anymore since “orange is the new black”! Lol… One love mates!!!

@ Jimmyball, where is Ramon Azeez and all our u-17s that conquered the world. You know what?, I am not so cheap to keep trolling them cos I understand it’s easy to get to top but extremely difficult to remain there. I encourage the ones like Iwobi,Ekong, Nwakali etc that are striving while allowing those that seem to have given hope some peace. THE EARTH IN ITS ENTIRETY IS TEMPORARY TALKLESS OF TALENT OR FORM. BUT IWOBI I SEE STILL HAS BUNDLE OF THAT TALENT @ JIMMYBALL. A MOVE AWAY FROM FRIENDS PRESSURE IN ENGLAND TO PLACE LIKE ITALY, SPAIN, NETHERLANDS WILL DO SOME GOOD I STRONGLY BELIEVE. IN LIFE SOMETIMES YOU TAKE A STEP BACK TO MAKE A BIG LEAP FORWARD. IWOBI AND HIS UNCLE OKOCHA STILL REMAINS NIGERIA’S MOST RECENT BEST ATTACKING MIDFIELDERS TAKE THAT OR LEAVE IT. People mentioning Mikel as attacking midfielder knows nothing about football so not worth an argument.

The veil is opened so Nigerians can not be deceived again , we were fooled by the love we had for okocha and we immediately accepted anything that came from his side. Iwobi is just an average player that thrived well when Mikel Obi and Victor Moses were in super eagles because these two players made it impossible for his flaw to be revealed. Some fans will argue of his better performance in the past and i will tell them no player will play consistently in any team that would not have at least a minimal impact most especially when such a player is assured of his game time.
Recently his uncle Okocha lost the respect i ever had for him, and i think he is one of the reason this iwobi is not playing to his prime because if he had spoken the truth to him ,iwobi by now should have either be in holland or Belgium on loan for him to fine tune his game and learn how to play basic football .
It was Okocha that shouted on SuperSport that Egu was not using his nephew correctly ,that iwobi is a playmaker just like he was , that iheanacho was not performing any better , EGU being a timid coach wanted all Nigeria to be happy with him fell for this and the result is there for all to see.
The ugliest thing is the same Okocha now attributed our loss to two players : the goal keeper and Ola AINA leaving his brother from any blame.
I fear if Egu can really take us to the next level because of the interference from power people ,unless they have the balls to say no.
Personally Iwobi decided to play Eagles because he knew from onset that he was not good to be called by England at the senior level and he see Nigeria as a country that he and his uncle can bully right and left to gain prominence . That is why we should not frown at players like Tammy , Tomori. Saka Delle these are players that have confidence in themselves with better football sense than Iwobi.
Iwobi doesnt have the essence but i like him for his commitment and his discipline off the field . If we make it to World Cup i do not expect him to be at the party at the detriment of better players.
