Everton winger Alex Iwobi is looking forward to Wednesday night Carabao Cup quarter-final clash against Manchester United.
The Toffees head into the game in buoyant mood after massive wins against Chelsea, Leicester City and Arsenal.
The Nigeria international insists the players are desperate to maintain what has been a positive period for them.

“We now turn our attention to Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup quarter-final against Manchester United. It’s a big game and another match under the lights at Goodison with 2,000 of our fans cheering us on,”Iwobi told the club’s official website.
“We’re in competitions to try to win them. We want to win as many as we can, not just for us but for the fans, especially.

One of the problems Super Eagles fans have sometimes is that we overhype our players. Even when they are not doing so well we wrap them in the cotton wool of praise. Little wonder they let us down when we least expect. Glory, none of the fans on this platform or any other avenues have anything against Iwobi when he was underperforming. Go and read what Collins id wrote about Okocha the other day and you might come to realize how misguided you were in harassing people who criticized Iwobi. Even though Iwobi is doing well, he has not arrived. He is still not in the spectrum of elite players. But unlike last year, he is now truly on the way to fulfilling his true potentials but there is more to do. I am happy for him as I believe all those who criticized him last season are equally pleased that he is turning a corner. Enough said.
