Alex Iwobi is delighted to score a goal in Nigeria’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against Lesotho, reports Completesports.com.
The Super Eagles rallied back from a goal down to beat the Crocodiles 4-2 in the match played at the Setsoto Stadium, Maseru.
The Everton winger grabbed the leveller for the Super Eagles in the 28th minute cancelling out Nkoto Masoabi’s 11th minute goal for Lesotho.
Samuel Kalu and Victor Osimhen (brace) got the other goals for the Super Eagles in the game.
“Good Start To The AFCON Qualifiers , Pleased To Grab A Goal Too As A Bonus,” Iwobi tweeted on Tuesday with a photo shot as he walked up the stairs at the Setsoto Stadium Maseru to hand his shirt to a Super Eagles fan who gestured for it via a banner message held up in a section of the terraces.
The Super Eagles will resume their AFCON 2021 qualifying campaign in August , 2020 with a home fixture against Sierra Leone.
