Real Sociedad forward Juanmi Jimenez has completed his move to La Liga rivals Real Betis on a five-year contract.
The 26-year-old, who has represented Spain at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 levels while securing one senior cap, came through the youth ranks at Malaga, where he spent five years in the first-team squad.
Juanmi had a disappointing loan spell at Racing Santander and a season in England with Southampton, before returning to Spain in summer 2016 with Real Sociedad.
He scored 31 goals in 114 appearances with La Real but joins Los Verdiblancos for a reported fee of 8million euros with a possible further 2m in add-ons.
Juanmi is Betis’ first signing of the summer following the recent appointment of coach Rubi.
