Following the announcement the Everton forward was forced to miss the tie which the Eagles won thanks to a stoppage time goal by Paul Onuachu.

But on Tuesday morning the NFF stated that after further tests were conducted the result came out negative.

Head Coach Gernot Rohr had stated in a chat monitored by Completesports.com that there is the possibility of Iwobi featuring against Lesotho if his second test returns negative.

CAF and Fifa has to respond. This highlights the extent of wickedness that comes from humans not minding the repercussions of what the player will suffer as a result of this manipulations, Benin should not only be fined but ban for five years to serve as lessons to other idiotic countries.

God know as E take dey punish devil. Wey Benin for just leave our Iwobi jeje for us make we play draw with dem….Lol

Ngwa go to the millet farm in freetown and sweat blood now…..LMAO. S/l just needs their usual 1-0 home wins to complete the divine punishment.

    • Amen to that @Dr. Drey, God will strengthen SL to complete the punishment of Benin… As Voodoo no work against SE dem result to wayo and jibiti… Lolz

CAF is such a WEAK institution, little wonder they change Presidents like napkins. SMDH!!!

Let us see what CAF and FIFA would say about this..

Amanji pinnick being a member of FIFA council is another strong reason why FIFA or CAF must look into this.

It is so wrong to diagnose someone of a disease he or she doesn’t have.. What if the patient can’t withstand the trauma.

They need to be taught a lesson so others can learn

  • This is so wicked and unfortunate, so after Benin switch off the light, and made it impossible for us to train, they still went ahead and manipulated Iwobi’s results to deprive him from playing the match. Hmmm…. The beauty of this whole scenario is that despite all these manipulation Benin still lost.

I think CAF must not let this slide, this should be thoroughly investigated, and Benin Republic should be severely punished.

I subscribe to that too. This should be killed now before it becomes a habit. Otherwise, The next thing will be that Nigeria will be about to face Cameroon in the final of the next Afcon and then the host will suddenly rule out Iwobi, Osimhen, Ndidi, Zaidu and Balogun with fake covid results….LMAO

      • lol. Very funny!!!

Wonders will never end i liked your comment, Dr Drey so you know fantastic players, i thought you were the person mentioning Shehu, Awaziem, Agu, Ighalo and Akpeyi sometime ago. I can see changes now. You are finally understanding the game.

        • Greenturf 3 years ago

The players you mentioned are equally very good.
If Dr.Drey had put in good words for the aforementioned players is because they are good.

          • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Leave the loud mouth alone. In his mind he has spoken like a human being….LMAO. Even the best teams in the world have fringe players….Lolz. No team in the world has ever had 23 super-stars in their sqaud list. So if I’ve mentioned Akpeyi, Awaziem, Shehu, Agu or Ighalo commonsense should tell an average human being that these are still amongst the best squad players in our SE till date.

Akpeyi is still the best bet for the No 3 GK position in the SE, still highly rated at his club and benching national team goalkeepers. Shehu is still the best bet as backup RB or DM (just as we saw vs S/L in freetown), we saw him doing fantastic for Omonia Nicosia in this season’s Europa league. Awaziem is still a regular feature in SE games, you cant mention 5 good Nigeria eligible CBs anywhere in the world and not add Awaziem. Agu has had an injury ridden career but we all still saw him in the the Europa League last season…..and Odion Ighalo…what else can we say about the ex-Manchester United player….16 goals in 35 SE games (after Yekini NO other SE striker has averaged 0.5 goals per match in the SE….NONE)…top scorer in AFCON qualifying….TOP SOCRER again in the main tournament…..one of 3 or 4 players EVER to have scored a hatrick for the SE. 1st Nigerian to play, score and hit a hatrick for the great Manchester United FC of England. Even Edison Cavani has not been able to give more than Ighalo in a Man U shirt.
Anybody who says these players are not very good players, that person should be sold to shuwa arabs for the price of a goat.

        • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Hehehehehe….your type of understating of the game which made you claim
Musa Mohammed, Anderson Esiti and Isaac Success are the players we need to reach semifinals of the world cup right…??! You really understand the game…..LMAO.

Abeg shift make human being see road.

          • Chima E Samuels 3 years ago

Hahaha mumu added macho man anderson esiti in place of Etebo for me. No be only esiti na akamu.

  • Little wonder why the western world always have a second thought on anything that’s African or from Africa, this is why we are considered a second class citizen.

How can a sane country manipulated the outcome of a test simply because to win a match? I think the Beninious coach too must be in the know.

    They deserve heavy sanctions.

What Benin did could not have surprised me albeit satanic. The fear of ALEXANDER THE KING IWOBI has since been the beginning of struggle to fashion out a winning formula for most national team managers. Hence Benin just cryingly had no choice but dared d grave consequences to declare him convid positive. Lolzz.

    • Chima E Samuels 3 years ago

Yes Alexander The Young Great king, conquered the world at a point in time.
