Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has called for total supervision of Samuel Kalu’s mental, medical and sporting well-being at Bordeaux.
Kalu, who was invited for the last rounds of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin and Lesotho, failed to honour the game due to reoccurring injuries.
The Bordeaux star has scored two goals in 13 appearances for the Super Eagles since making his debut against Seychelles on September 8.
Rohr in a chat with Girondins4Ever stated that Kalu deserved all the support he needed to overcome his injury crisis. He revealed that being lonely without his family members around him has made life difficult for him in France.
“We had invited him for Nigeria’s last game, and the Girondins told us no, that they needed him to save themselves,” Rohr said, as per Girondins4Ever.

“And then he got hurt… They finally sent him to Nigeria anyway, so it was kind of weird.
“Still, the boy has a lot of injuries this year. I hope he is well supervised on all levels, mentally, medically, and sportingly. Every time he plays with me, he’s good, but it’s true that this season has been rotten with injuries. I hope he can help the Girondins for the end of the season.
“He was also a bit lonely without his family in Bordeaux. He lacked a little family support. But it’s going to get better and better.”

Kalu will be just fine… Bordeaux should examine his medical nature to know the best way to treat him when he is injured…. every player has a unique body that doesn’t sometimes agree with certain methods of treatment….carzola was almost killed in arsenal by arsenal medics,his leg was even almost cut off at a time but immediately he left arsenal behold he was born again…. infact he enjoyed his latter career more than when he was younger in arsenal….It was later he revealed that the fault was actually from the arsenal doctors who did not understand his body system.
