Kalu Ready To Dump Bordeaux For Galatasaray

Nigeria winger Samuel Kalu is open to joining Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray from Girondis Bordeaux this summer, reports Completesports.com.

Kalu joined Bordeaux from Belgian Pro League club KAA Gent in 2018 but has failed to justify the €8m fee spent on him by the club.

The 23-year-old scored just once in 20 league appearances for Les Girondis last season.

He was also criticized by manager Paolo Souza for not showing enough commitment in training.

According to Girondis33.com, the winger is willing to move to Turkey this summer with Galatasaray his preferred destination.

Bordeaux are also willing to let Kalu leave but will demand €10m for the player.

I heard Rohr advised him not to go….but apparently Bordeaux are tired of his inconsistency. I hope he goes to a better league….even if it’s an average club in Spain

One question I used to ask is why are Nigerian players not improving , you hear them score some good number of goals one season then they start scoring less and less till they are sold to a lesser league or club e.g Martins in inter Milan, akpoborie in Germany etc,
The problem is they have I have arrived mentality, instead of staying back in trainings to improve on their skills or use those long breaks to improve on their skills, all you hear is they are now back in Nigeria attending functions visiting people they are not supposed to visit, you hear them carrying women all about, I think maybe the NFA should have an advisory team that will help their focus, Martins left inter because he does want to benched, what happened to training extra time to improve yourself and challenge the big boys like Henry did in Arsenal, who later started benching our own best of the decade striker KANU Nwakwo, everywhere he moved to after that transfer never saw him fulfill the potential in him.
Isaac Promise, Iheanacho, Lukmon Aruna etc all have that potential to be great even Chukwueze, and this guy Samuel kalu all have potential, but unnecessary travelling and I don’t care lifestyle is affecting their development.

  • It’s sad. If kalu fails to achieve then God will even ask. Not with the abundant talent God has given him
