Nwankwo Kanu and Asisat Oshoala have congratulated Samuel Chukwueze after winning the Europa League title with Villarreal, Completesports.com reports.
The Yellow Submarine claimed the title for the first time after a nervy 11-10 penalty shootout win against Manchester United in Gdnask, Poland on Wednesday night.
The game ended in a 1-1 draw after 120 minutes of energy sapping football which saw Edison Cavani cancelled out Gerard Moreno’s first half strike.

Chukwueze missed the game as result of the injury he picked up in the semi-final clash against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
The Nigeria international scored one goa and recorded four assists in 11 appearances in the competition.

Chukwueze deserves all the praise as he was one of the KEY players in Villareal’s Europe League Quest for Glory. its a pity he missed the Final due to Injury because he is the one player who deserved to be there, due to the Europa League Campaign he had. especially his displays against Arsenal in semi finals
Im happy that Villarreal could hold their own against a football giant like man utd. Even without their main outlet and chief supplier of assists (chukwueze) they won. They should be in the champions league next season by virtue of this win. Will/should chukwueze leave the club and go to a bigger club? Time will tell
