Klopp Reaches Milestone, Nunez Sets EPL Record In Liverpool’s Big Win Vs Chelsea

Liverpool thrashed Chelsea 4-1 at Anfield in the Premier League on Wednesday.

The win saw the Reds move five points clear at the top of the Premier League table.

Jürgen Klopp became the seventh different manager to win 200+ games in Premier League history.

He joined Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger, Harry Redknapp, Jose Mourinho, David Moyes, Pep Guardiola in reaching the milestone.

Darwin Nunez set a new Premier League record in Liverpool’s victory over Chelsea – by hitting the post or crossbar four times.

The Liverpool striker became the first Premier League player since Opta records began in 2002 to strike the woodwork four times in a single match.

Diogo Jota powered through the Chelsea defence to fire Liverpool ahead on 23 minutes, before Conor Bradley produced a stunning finish to double their lead in the 39th minute with his first goal for the club.

Mauricio Pochettino made a triple change at the break but despite a brief improvement, Liverpool made it three on 65 minutes as Bradley set up Dominik Szoboszlai’s header in front of the Kop.

In the 71st minute Christopher Nkunku pulled one back with his first Chelsea goal, and then could have had a penalty when Van Dijk clipped him from behind.

But with 11 minutes left to play Luiz Diaz then added a fourth to round off the emphatic win.

Up next for the Reds is a trip to the Emirates on Sunday to face third-place Arsenal.
