Klopp Reveals Injury Concerns

Jurgen Klopp has confirmed Liverpool have fitness concerns over several players ahead of the trip to Bayern Munich this week.

Liverpool continued to put the pressure on Manchester City in the title race after coming from behind to beat Burnley on Sunday, but there are concerns in the treatment room.

Trent Alexander-Arnold was withdrawn from the clash against the Clarets, but it has since been revealed that decision was taken as a precaution more than anything else.

The defender is expected to be fit but a decision will not be made just yet, while the Reds will also have to make a late check on James Milner, who missed out against Burnley with a muscle problem.

Dejan Lovren has not played since January, but was forced to take a place on the bench yesterday, and Klopp admits he has one or two issues to deal with ahead of the Champions League clash.

“We need all the players and to have them fit on the pitch,” said Klopp. “We have little injury problems. Milly was not able to be involved, Dejan was not planned to be, he trained only twice.”
