Six-time champions Rangers fought hard to get back into the game but were thwarted by goalkeeper Suraj Ayeleso.
Elsewhere, giant killers Abakaliki FC continued their impressive run courtesy of 5-4 penalty shootout win over Ikorodu City.

The keenly contested encounter ended 0-0 in regulation time.
It’s the first time Kwara United and Abakaliki FC have qualified for the final of the President Federation Cup.
The final of Nigeria’s oldest football competition will hold later this month.
The winner will represent the country in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
