Super Eagles midfielder Chidera Ejuke featured for Sevilla on Saturday, though his side ultimately suffered a 3-1 defeat at the hands of reigning champions Barcelona in La Liga.
Making his sixth appearance of the ongoing campaign, Ejuke was introduced in the 59th minute in place of José Ángel Carmona (Correia), putting in a lively shift down the flank as Sevilla fought to find a way back into the contest.

The hosts had initially stunned the visitors by taking a shock lead in the 19th minute through a brilliant goal that sent the home supporters into raptures. However, Barcelona quickly restored parity when Raphinha struck in the 22nd minute.
The Brazilian forward struck again shortly after the restart in the 52nd minute to give the visitors the advantage, before completing a magnificent hat-trick to put the game beyond Sevilla’s reach.
Despite late efforts from the hosts to mount a comeback, Barcelona comfortably saw out the remainder of the match to secure all three points and maintain their unbeaten record this season.
