The Confederation of African Football, CAF, has confirmed that the 2026 CAF Awards will be held in Lagos, Nigeria, on Monday, 7 December.
The ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts, formerly known as the National Theatre, in Iganmu, Lagos.
The 2026 edition will mark the fourth time Lagos has hosted the prestigious CAF Awards, following previous editions held in the city in 2008, 2013 and 2014.

Nigeria is also scheduled to host the CAF Ordinary General Assembly on Saturday, 21 November as part of the continental football governing body’s official calendar of activities for the year.
The dates were confirmed following a virtual meeting of the CAF Executive Committee chaired by President Dr Patrice Motsepe, on Friday,2 October, 2026.
The prestigious annual awards ceremony will bring together prominent figures from across African football as CAF celebrates outstanding players, coaches, and other individuals whose contributions have helped advance the sport on the continent.
With both events now officially confirmed, preparations are expected to intensify for the November General Assembly, before the CAF Awards take centre stage in Lagos on December 7.
