The CAF Ordinary General Assembly brings together leading figures in African football, including presidents of CAF’s 54 Member Associations, representatives from the six zonal unions and senior football officials from across the continent.
CAF Awards is an annual showpiece event that celebrates the best performers in African football in an atmosphere of glitz, glamour and sheer panache.

CS, who told you? Lol.
Gusau and his failed NFF board want to use that to come for second term. We know the ruse.
No, Gusau, no!
When Morocco hosted the awards last year, they swept home nearly every award.
Which category are we currently good at, right now?
Apart from Nnadozie who is apparently the continents leading female goalkeeper (don’t forget, NFF and Madugu (who obviously didn’t present any 2026 programme) are trying super well to nullify the potency of Super falcons with zero preparation for the WAFCON), I don’t see any other Nigerian doing well right now.
It will be ludicrous losing best awards at home on all major fronts again.
To what end were those hosting rights?
@Sly, the NFF should fry in fire. Expectations will continue to die under these people. Our football will never fly high. We can only cry..
It’s quite surprising that our President Tinubu could approve the hosting of CAF Congress in Nigeria without considering the worst state of our infrastructure facilities. This is because when the officials arrive, they’ll like to take a look at our state of sports facilities. What are we to show case to the officials? Our facilities have been left unattended to by this present government of Tinubu.
Please, it’s better to reject the invitation of the officials than to open us to Africa disgrace.
The NFF has nothing to show the rich culture of our football. The league is nothing to write home about because once they get into the continental championship, the representative are kicked out maximum at league stages.
Our U17 and U20 teams are also exhibiting below performance in their various qualifications for tournaments.
Please let us stop this meeting now, we have nothing to sell or exhibit because there’s no product or idea to exhibit to attract CAF officials.
