Leicestershire have confirmed the exit of Neil Dexter, Ateeq Javid and Aadil Ali following the conclusion of the 2019 season. Dexter has been on Leicestershire’s books since 2016 and departs after racking up 2,284 runs for the Division Two side. The 35-year-old hasn’t revealed if he has anything else lined up but leaves the county on good terms.

Dexter told Leicestershire’s official website: “I would like to thank everyone at Leicestershire CCC for the great time I have had at the club over the past four years. Thank you to all the supporters and members for making my time at the club a very enjoyable experience.
“Thank you to the office staff for all that they have done behind the scenes, and to the sponsors. Good luck to the players and management team moving forward, I will be keeping a close eye on the results.” Fellow all-rounder Javid and batsman Ali are also seeking new clubs following the expiration of their contracts.
