Leone Stars captain Umar Bangura will play no part in the side’s 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matchday four fixture against Nigeria due to suspension, reports Completesports.com.
The defender picked a yellow card in Leone Stars’ 4-4 draw against the Super Eagles last Friday at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.
He played the full 90 minutes of the game.
It was the FC Zurich’s of Switzerland player second yellow card in the qualifying series.
He was booked in Sierra Leone’s 1-0 defeat to the Squirrels of Benin Republic in Cotonou last year.
Bangura was initially excluded from Leone Stars’ squad for the game due to fitness concern.
John Keister’s men will host the Super Eagles at the Siaka Stevens Stadium, Freetown on Tuesday.
