From what I’m seeing, the line up is
    Okoye
    Shehu ozornwafor awaziem collins
    Ndidi iwobi musa
    Iheanacho onaucho Moses Simon.

It’s so annoying what I’m watching. Mehn, with Rohr we go no where. Chaiii. No game plan. Play anyhow.

  • Dr Tee 3 years ago

    @ Victor
Are we watching same match or you are watching another one

  • Proudly 9ja 3 years ago

Una hear Iwobi say “oh my God” after one of his pass got intercepted, laff been wan kee me. e remain small him for say “jesu” or “Jesus is kord” lol. This match so far na comic relief.

  • Victor 3 years ago

    yes @ dr tee

we are not seeing offensive play.the final ball is just zero. in the last 15 mins of the game, no shots on goal. mehn, i expected better performance from them.what I am watching is not satisfactory at all.

    • Diran 3 years ago

Please coach Rohr, i beg you, please plead with Odion Ighalo to come back to this Super Eagles team, so he can play with Victor Osimhen in attack. Right now, the attack and midfield look spineless and are finding it difficult to score goals. Also, the NFF should try to liaise with FIFA to speed up the change of citizenship of players like Lookman, Ejaria and Michael Olise before the Africa zone world cup qualifiers start. Thanks

  • Omo9ja 3 years ago

The match is on now. You guys can watch it live on YouTube NFFTV. Good luck Eagles. God bless Nigeria!!!

  • pompei 3 years ago

E be like say NEPA don take light for NFF TV.

  • pompei 3 years ago

    Up NEPA! It’s back on.

  • Cameroun has improved considerably from their sub-par performance from last time and Nigeria is somewhat blunt upfront. Okoye, nah was o.

  • Chima E Samuels 3 years ago

Boring line up boring everything as usual. Correct players still on bench. This coach is terrible i cry for Nigeria football same way i cry for its economy.

  • Footballfanatic 3 years ago

Cameroonian boys look like they eat fufu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner..

  • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Please what is senior about Iheanacho in the Super Eagles……? Seniorman no be by mouth o..! At times like these when things are tight this is when truly ‘senior’ men wave their magic.

Iheanacho and Iwobi should please step up and be counted.

    • Diran 3 years ago

A disappointing performance by Iheanacho and Iwobi i must say. The attack was blunt, even newbie Moffi was unable to string good passes and coordinate with the other newbie – Abraham Marcus. Super Eagles need to improve, or else may not qualify for Qatar world cup with this shambolic display over two matches with Cameroon. however, I commend the team’s defence as they tried in this match and Uzoho is relatively better than Okoye in goal. Thanks

  • Larry 3 years ago

    Seriously!!
    Iwuala preferred to Olayinka..
What is Iheanacho still doing in this game..
    smh

  • Chima E Samuels 3 years ago

This coach can not take us anywhere we need to wake up else we wallow.

  • pompei 3 years ago

Cameroon have used high press to completely nullify our preferred slow build up from defense. If we can’t cope with Cameroon high press, how we go do against Algeria?

  • Footballfanatic 3 years ago

Wetin Kelechi still dey do for this game? Bring on Olayinka..

  • pompei 3 years ago

Disjointed, purposeless football. We are even worse today than in the first match.

  • Chima E Samuels 3 years ago

Guys should leave Iheanacho out of this nonsense, the problem is the coaching organization, you bench Olayinka, bench moffi bench Markus bench Izu. The COward coach doesn’t like exciting talents that is why his team play is boring and wacky. The few good players will naturally struggle when they are not supported by alike minds.

    • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

The coach must be the one telling Iheanacho to throw away chances he dares not throw away at Leicester….LMAO

      • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

        Hohahahaha….rot in hellfire, useless idiot….LMAO.

      • kenneth 3 years ago

You should know by now that parrot just likes to talk. You paying attention to this sick minded moron. All the noise about play iwobi in number 10, abeg what happened.

        • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Bushpig-mouth we are still waiting for you to tell us who else should play 10 for us o….LMAO. Its over 4 days now and you brain hasnt still found and answer yet….LMAO
Maybe we should come and call your village people….LMAO. Maybe its Iwobi that told Iheanacho to throw away all the changes he created for him.

  • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Anybody noticing the gulf in class between Abraham Marcus and the so-called $1m rated best NPFL player…??? LMAO.

Make we still dey decieve oursef bcos we wan sell market….LMAO

    • Michael Adelami 3 years ago

This Marcus boy is so intelligent, over intelligence dey worry am.
Iwuala just dey do gragra for pitch, no wonder Nigeria teams don’t do well on the continent.

  • Mutum 3 years ago

Sack rohr now! This man no good

  • Peter highstar 3 years ago

Can’t believe these are the best players Nigeria got, terribly shit

  • I’m a fan of the Coach and I think he’s done his best, as it were there’s nothing more he can provide, you can’t give what you don’t have. We need need a new coach.

  • Footballfanatic 3 years ago

    Sorry ass game..

    • Coachie 3 years ago

      I only saw the 2nd half right but two things i have observed in the immediate;

      1. Most of our players are over-hyped (Iwobi, Kelechi et’al)
      2. Nevertheless, i sincerely think in my church mind (bare in mind before you crucify me, that i am a super duper supporter of Gernot Rhor) that Gernot Rhor has given it all and the team seems to have stagnated after the initial success for reasons not far fetched anyway (maybe owed salaries and match bonuses).

      #Mytake

  • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Abraham Marcus is here to stay mehn…..!

    • pompei 3 years ago

Marcus na player. Today, he played well below his capability, for whatever reason. He is a good option to have in the team.

    • Footballfanatic 3 years ago

I agree with you boy exhumed confidence..

    • NA ME TALK AM 3 years ago

@Dr.Drey .. Marcus with his tons of wrong passes and poor decision making , He surely needs to improve himself to attain future invitation to the national team

Iwuala … He’s so poor that he shouldn’t be invited to the national team again for now .

Moffi …. Nothing special just another average player with poor decision making and positioning .

Valentine .. Definitely a player for the future but still needs alot improvement

Iheanacho …. So poor he needs to change his name from senior man to Iheanacho because there’s absolutely nothing senior about him in both matches

The Whole team Minus / Else Wilf Ndidi is below Average for both friendly

VO7 is still the best choice for the 1st striker for the SE

  • Marcus nah player.

What is the rationale for Iwuala? He looks like a poor man’s version of Ejuke.

I just feel this Okoye is a disaster in waiting. He’s not been really tested.

Musa has lost his mojo. It was like we were playing minus 1 when he was on field and his sub Iwuala was no better either.

Rohr no be am, abeg. He just dey try.

    • pompei 3 years ago

Calamity Okoye, anyone? Hahahahaha, abeg make una no vex for Okoye ooo. The boy dey try. He kept a clean sheet today, in a game Cameroon probably deserved to win. The jury is still out on who is numero uno between him and Uzoho. But he has not done too badly. Needs to improve though.

      • Hahaha. I just get apprehensive each time the opponents start to dance around our 18 yard. I don’t think we’ve really got a reliable replacement since Ikeme and Enyeama left. The good thing is he gets good cover from the defence plus Simon puts in a good shift, tracking back.

      • Diran 3 years ago

Uzoho is a better keeper than Okoye right now. Thanks

    • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Shebi na una dey hail una home-based superstar because he was using his pace to outwit Beninoise defenders that Onyekuru and Zaidu had ran aground for 85 mins. Ngwa make e come do am vs Cameroon na….LMAO.

Someone with 4 goals and 3 assists in all competitions in 2 seasons being valued at $1m. I still dey laugh…LMAO.

Make dem continue to sell their market….maga go soon pay.

We know where the best Nigerian players are…they are in Europe. Even 2nd div players from the “Top 5” are miles ahead of them. Lol

Okoye pulled 2 decent saves in the 1st half I guess. He wasnt troubled to much today, just like in the last game

      • I guess I didn’t see the save. It was just a single camera view today, which made it more difficult to enjoy the match and really assess the players.

As per Iwuala, I guess it’s CSN journalists that have been working with his hypemen to sell him to North African clubs. He’s good but don’t think he’s SE standard for now.

In fact, few from this friendly squad should be added to the regular that were mostly missing – Aribo, Kalu, Osimhen, Balogun, Sanusi, Onyekuru, (Ejuke), Chukwueze, Omeruo. I just wish Rohr knows how to perfectly gel these legs into a solid team and maximise their combined strength.

        • Iwuala has no business in this team. He is not good enough. Thanks

    • Diran 3 years ago

Uzoho should be the number 1 keeper and should please start the next friendly against Mexico and let’s compare. Thanks

  • Edoman 3 years ago

I just can’t believe my eyeoooooo. hi. na waaaa. Nigeria no get good players at all. Reserve my comments oooooo. Shaaaa.

  • Footballfanatic 3 years ago

Rohr really needs to drop some players before the World cup qualifier. I don’t care if they have scored 100 goals in the worldcup or else we will be humbled. Cape Verde no be Joke. Basically playing against Portuguese players.

  • The earlier we admit we don’t have huge pool of good players the better, majority of this guys are just average rated footballers, invite this, invite that, atleast we have all seen what they can do now.

Iwuala can’t trap a simple pass, shehu doesn’t know when to make a dashing run or when to retreat, Moffi was just run around the pitch, no sense of positioning at all, Simon Moses can’t give a simple 1 2 passing same with Musa, the truth is the entire team are just poor today, and Ihenacho is too full of himself, I don’t know what he is thinking. IWOBI also miss and almost sitter, same with onuachu in the first half.

To me I won’t blame the coach because he made do of the materials he has with him, our best is not just available, Aribo, Oshiemen, Balogun Ekong, Chukwueze, Kalu, etc are simply the best available. I think Marcus has some spark in him, he is the only guy I saw with a quick feet today.

It’s time for Musa to call it quit.

    • Footballfanatic 3 years ago

We’ve been saying that about Musa but they keep attacking us saying he brings some BS motivation to the team. I don’t know why some players stay from being a hero to become a Villain. I heard Ejaria and Lookman have been cleared.

    • Coachie 3 years ago

I do not want to buy the excuse of missing players as Cameroon did not have the luxury of their full team as well. We just need to admit we don’t have the caliber of players we think we have hence there is need for the coach to bring out the best out of the seemingly average players we’ve got at the moment.
We can argue this but to me this is just the bitter truth right now. I will definitely advise any SE supporter who loves his health to tune down on their expectation for this team.

    • Diran 3 years ago

Samuel Kalu is a great player and baller when he is fit. We need him back in Super Eagles when he is fully fit please.

      • pompei 3 years ago

I agree with you, Diran. Kalu’s problem is frequent injuries. But when fit, he is definitely a good option to have in the squad.

  • Abdul handsy 3 years ago

I have given Rohr too much benefit of doubt! I have lost my confidence in him being the super eagles’ coach.

I don’t think he has anything meaningful to offer Nigerian football any longer therefore, I have lowered my expectations on the national team for the main time…

Still never really believe in iheanacho as well, not Mobile, proud with shit “Senior man” tag and more.

  • pompei 3 years ago

Did Moffi even take one shot at goal today? Just one? In his defense, he got zero support and zero service. Just ran up and down all day with no purpose. Nacho was poor, poor, poor! Missed a couple of clear chances that he would not have dared miss at Leicester City. Looked exhausted, as if the akpu he ate last night has not digested completely. Very little to no attacking threat! Iwobi tried to make something happen in the middle, but had very little to work with. The Cameroon high press was the killer tactic. They did not allow our boys any time on the ball at all, leading to unnecessary panic and mistakes. Misplaced passes all over the place.
Awful Nigerian display today. Rohr has not done well.

    • Dr. Drey 3 years ago

Hehehe…all these eulogies for Cameroon…and they didnt still trouble Okoye over 2 games…? Then that means our boys also did something(s) right. Credit to both teams. It was an enjoyable game with both sides grilling each other out. Cameroon are penultimate AFCON champions and the host in 6 months time. We’ve just played an equally good side. Kudos to both teams for giving each other the perfect test of their respective strengths.

    • It was obvious Cameroun seriously worked on their lapses and choked every possible outlet for Nigeria to express creativity and get into dangerous areas like in the last match. The good thing about today for me is the discovery of Abraham Marcus. He along with Ekong, Awaziem, Iwobi, Ndidi, Simon and Olayinka should be sure bets going forward.

      • Mr. Nice 3 years ago

Also @kel, the good thing about this friendly is that all these invite this invite that will reduce a bit, if not we would have continued to think Iwuala & others who failed to impress today were in the same category as Ronaldo & Messi, no more invite Fernadi Ado, Alashe, basketmouth, Alibaba & other over hyped “gra gra” YouTube stars. A word is enough for the wise, if the coach fails to impress in the qualifiers & the nation’s cup next year he should be relieved of his duties but if he succeeds all well and good!

  • Mutum 3 years ago

Any one who call senior man her again eh…as Dr drey said, senior man no be by mouth. Iheanacho and iwobi should be left aside for now.rohr has to go too!!

  • pompei 3 years ago

My previous opinion was that our attack was our strongest department. After this two matches, I’m not so sure anymore! It seems that the only reliable striker we have is Victor Osimhen. We need to look hard at Simy Nwankwo and Cyriel Dessers again, especially Dessers, based on what I saw in the Tunisia friendly. We need strikers who can actually shoot at goal, and who are mobile and purposeful, not strikers that are slow and tedious, drawing like ogbono on the pitch!
I no fit shout. Strikers that are scoring 100 goals in their leagues but pose zero threat in the Nigeria jersey.
Iwuala no fit trap ball. Just dey run kitikiti in all directions. Maga no go buy this market ooo, no matter the format or packaging. The boy needs to go back to the drawing board and do some work! Just not good enough currently.
The encouraging news today is the clearance of Lookman and Ejaria. What a welcome development! These two will be bringing some much needed pep to the squad.

    • pompei 3 years ago

Forgot to mention Sadiq. Now that’s a striker that fills me with some hope. With Osimhen, Simy, Dessers and Sadiq, I want to believe we have a good, if not great group of strikers.

    • Abdul handsy 3 years ago

Pls have they been officially cleared by FIFA finally?

    • Diran 3 years ago

Thank God for the good news about the clearance of Ejaria and Lookman. This will add much-needed depth to the Super Eagles midfield cum attack. Iwuala is not good enough for the Super Eagles. I still believe Uzoho is a better goalkeeper that Okoye, as Okoye still needed to build his confidence. Etebo has also gone down and may not be Super Eagles material anymore. Terem Moffi also does not look good enough and still needs to work on his confidence and shooting skills in a Nigerian jersey. Abraham Marcus could still be given another chance, but he needs to learn to string good passes together also. Just my take from both matches.

      • Abdul handsy 3 years ago

Diran pls stop this fake news about the clearance of Lookman and Ejaria…

        What’s your source ?

  • Collins id 3 years ago

iwobi was the best player in the field. the deffence did very well, Ndidi is as strong as ever, did well alongside iwobi in the midfield, musa was a flop, iheanacho flop, unuachu flop, Marcus and iwuala are not ready for eagles yet, they should go for under 23 camp to go learn, moffi did quite well but needs to do more bcos the distance between him and osihmen is still too far, he need to be more rugged and aggressive, that’s what we want, moses Simon did well aswell, just need to improve on his final decisions. jamilu is still not fit to play for eagles for now. i think the supereagles was the better team in both games i like the way they build up games and also the way they play their selves out of tight situation especially from the deffence. the truth is that ROHR is not the problem of the team, if our wingers couldn’t dribble and strikers are obviously missing chances, the coach is less to be blame in such situation.
my take is that musa and iheanacho unuachu, should return back to their bench roles, our worst games started since their return to first 11, we have tried all our patience to blindly support them but no level. aribo should take over iheanacho role when he returns, he his stronger on the ball and more decisive upfront, manages his right foot better than iheanacho, Iwobi should remain deep in the middle like today, he was massive in that role. onyekuru moses ejuke kalu should be options for left wing for now, unless lookman joins. chuks and kalu again are best option for right wing. sadiq or simeone, may be the only option for osihmen, as we can see moffi and unuocho are not surebankers. finally rohr need nwakali, alahasan and nwobodo to make this team stronger.

    • Coachie 3 years ago

      Well said bro,
Invite this, invite that, now i think we have seen some of the THIS AND THAT already and obviously most of them don’t just cut it for me atleast for now.
As you rightly said, the THIS AND THAT that yet remains for us to see are
      1. Umar Sadiq
      2. Simmy Nwankwo (IMHO, we already saw him)
      3. Lookman and Ejaria (pending clearance)
      4. Obinna Nwobodo
      5. Alhassan
      6. Nwakali (…but if you ask me, i would say he should just concentrate on reviving his career first)

  • Field Marshall. General. Sir Johnbob 3 years ago

Well that was JAMMY!, ended up missing the whole match! Unbelievable, anyway reading through I get the jist, 0-0 and people are now really seeing what I have said all along – In Yoruba they say, Oro agba, bi ko se lowuro, ope titi ase lojo ale.
Nigeria – they need to take off their cloak of senseless hype, hype without the substance to back it up is for fools, it will always get found out, you cannot compete on the world stage and against the real deal competitors and place your hopes in powder puff, it will only end in tears.
we have proper players, it’s not as if we don’t, I alone can build a SE team that will put the fear of God into all and sundry…but haha I laugh, is it not Nigeria? Here not the people that matter -the ones in power, nor the average man on the street wants to compete and represent purely on merit. No, everyone is too happy and ready to cut corners, we have our ready made excuses so nothing ever gets done right or with the right spirit/intention behind it.
Any wonder then that things are the way they are?
IT IS TIME TO GET SERIOUS!
NO MORE IHEANACHO, IWOBI AND ANY BODY ELSE FOUND WANTING IN THE APPLICATION DEPARTMENT!
GO BACK AND WATCH THE DAYS OF ODEGBAMI, DAYS OF AMOKACHI, DAYS WHEN TARIBO WAS IN THE TEAM
THE NON STOP RUNNING FROM MUTIU ADEPOJU AND CAPTAIN FANTASTIC SIASIA…CHOII!
    WHICH WAY NIGERIA?
PLEASE STOP THE SPOILING, BUILD A TEAM WORTHY OF THIS COUNTRY – IF YOU CAN!!
IF NOT THEN LETS JUST STOP PLAYING FOOTBALL I BEG. LET THEM TAKE UP CRICKET OR BADMINTON OR RUGBY – LET’S JUST FORGET ABOUT FOOTBALL ABEG

    • Mr. Nice 3 years ago

Unfortunately for you, the person who gained more from this friendly match is our coach, that’s what the professional coaches does with friendly matches, Bonfere Jo that we all eulogize today lost 3 goals to nil at the eve of the Atlanta Olympics to the Togolese and the rest they say is history, Gernot Rhor has not been doing well with friendly matches but you see the results in competitive matches, I urge us to keep faith in this coach, I believe greatness is around the corner!

  • JimmyBall 3 years ago

…I have vowed going forward not to criticise Rohr again, but honestly considering his methods, age, choices and the fact he is never comfortable outside of 4-2-3-1, I have lowered my own expectations for Super Eagles for the remainder of his term at the helm of affairs… I said players like Moffi are for future… he needs to still perform for another season before he begins to stake any claims in the Eagles… European football is easier to play than African football, I have repeated these lines and worn myself out… we need Lookman, Ejaria, Olise, Tosin, Tomori and Torunarigha if we can manage to get all of them… I have seen enough of Iwobi, Iheanacho, Collins and Etebo. The likes of Ekong, Umeruo, Shehu and Musa have seen better days… we must never forget that Musa is nothing less than 35years in real life… let us give chance to the likes of Marcus, Olayinka, Awoniyi, Lookman, Ejaria, Junior Ajayi and Atiemwen against Mexico and see them… one love all!

  • Proudly 9ja 3 years ago

A fellow forumite once wrote that GR invites players and only use them for 5-20 mins so they don’t bench his preferred players, i am tempted to believe he is right. See the immediate impact Moffi and Marcus made, Marcus is a player, give that boy some time to get used to his teammate, that boy will explode. See the way Moffi was harassing the defenders, just imagine if he was up there with Olayinka (compared to ineffective Iheanacho), those defenders won’t have breathing space. @forumitrs, if all of us who saw the 2 matches saw how wasteful and ineffective Iheabachi was, why won’t the coach yank him off in the 2nd half of today’s match? Why will u let Olayinka waste away on the bench for the entire duration of the match? I think at best Onuachu, Iheanacho and Musa should be playing 10-20 mins at best regardless of whether we have a complete squad or not. I personally don’t buy the experience factor people say Musa brings to the team, he to me is just occupying space that should be for someone else, playing in NFPL isn’t going to cut it. Why will we have the likes of Kalu, Chukwueze, Ejuke, Olayinka, Marcus, Simon and still be inviting Musa? To do what exactly? The coach has his reasons for not letting Nigerians see the talents of the new players especially in friendly matches, but to me its mindboggling. In this match, am glad everybody got to atleast see Marcus touches on the ball and Moffi aggressive play albeit for a short period. If he doesn’t invite olayinka (who didn’t play up to 20mins in an inconsequential friendly) next time but invites the likes of Musa or Iwuala then something must be wrong somewhere. He can’t use the excuse that there was no time to test players or wanting to maintain continuity as reason for the non invitation of Olayinka or Marcus or the argument that they are not better than what we currently have at the moment. If I were Simon, I will just advise myself by myself to focus and battle saidu Sanusi for that left fullback role, he has a better chance of nailing that position. You could hear some of the coaching crew on the bench telling out information to the to the team but not a word from GR, why? Forget thats he personality excuse, he is the coach and should be barking instructions. Am not sure we even used all our substitutions today (Marcus, anayo, and moffi were tge subs used if am not mistaken), if that’s the case, why save the substitutions, abi GR dey keep am for next game? Why in God’s name will u start 10 out of 11 players u are already familiar with in an inconsequential friendly match which is meant to try new players for? This was a great opportunity that fell on GRs lap that he should have used to try many new players with lots of game time not just 20 mins but he wasted it in my view. At some points it then looked as if it was cameroon that had a coach for 5 years the way they were knocking the ball around and pressing our defence. Cameroon were also missing key players like Aboubacar and Njie, so the excuse that we didn’t have osimen or chukwueze no wash. GR u fall my hand twice in the span of 5 days.

    • Larry 3 years ago

@Proudly 9ja, please watch out for the next excuse from Belmadi’s boy and his due hard fans. The last time we were told the gaffer knows the players better. I can’t imagine that Iwuala had played more minutes than Olayinka or Zamalek’s Ajayi..
Iwobi, Iheanacho and Onwuachi should be made to watch 2 SE matches from the bench or home.
Musa should be excused till he gets a club in Europe. If the coach needs experience, he should go and sort things out with Moses (VM) asap..
Moffi, Marcus and Olayinka(wished he was given more time) made good impressions in these friendlies.

      • Michael Adelami 3 years ago

Was it not you guys that clamoured for home based Iwuala, so why are you complaining that Thor allowed him play.
If he had played Olayinka in his stead, you will be the ones saying he doesn’t give home based chance

      • JimmyBall 3 years ago

Scorenigeria.com alleged that Uzoho and Olayinka sustained late injuries and could not be played… Maybe this is why Olayinka did not dress and instead Iwuala.

    • onwajunior 3 years ago

I’d like to believe that I watched the match objectively, so in my opinion, Moffi didn’t do anything. Marcus, yes, but not Moffi (in both matches). In the first match, I thought we had better chance of scoring with Onuachu and Iheanacho on the pitch than with Moffi. In the second match, I didn’t see the 1st half, but from what I saw in the 2nd half Moffi didn’t live up to the hype. Again, my opinion from what I saw.

  • Sunnyb 3 years ago

You guys are jokers thinking you will win serious matches with iheanacho, Iwobi and onuachu starting for u, these three players offers nothing, we need match winners, we need need aggressive attackers not one chance players

  • GLORY 3 years ago

It’s fair for anyone to be disappointed with the team’s performance but I see Champions coming out of this team. These are good signs towards the real deal. It’s always being the Nigerian national team way. They kill off high expectations during friendlies, to rise up high high high to the main occasion. However, will kindly plead some players to humbly kiss goodbye to SE. Marcus, the one positive to take out of the friendlies.

    • The problem is Rohr’s decisions in team selection. Can you make impact on the world stage with Onuachu and Iheanacho? I would not be surprised if he doesn’t call up Marcus in the future.

Not to beat a dead horse

    From the on set,and some few days ago;
I stated , Onuachu is not good enough to lead the Super Eagles line. I have always stated no matter how many goals he scores in his club,he simply isn’t it for me. He doesn’t just have it. Reminds me of Benedict Akwuegbu…Fresh fish that can’t swim in salt water. Osimhen is a god in comparison.

It is just a pity the coach was Cajoled to bring in Iwuala. The last time around, I stated categorically, Iwuala is overhyped. He isn’t good enough for the Eagles standard. Come on! This is international football we are talking about. This is the Super Eagles. Not the Hawks of Togo!

With all love, The Guvnor Musa need to be thinking of retiring from the Eagles. He has paid his dues. It is time to rest.

Iheanacho need to go back to the bench till he is willing to put in the effort. He is simply inconsistent and not dependable.

Collins is not fit. Just a squad player. Thank goodness Zaidu came around.

Shehu did good playing out of position.

Iwobi ran his socks off. Same for both Moses Simon and Ndidi. They just need to play with quality around them to do the damage.
Ndidi is a machine that can play the holding midfield alone freeing up space forward. With him, we can push an Aribo further forward to help the attack..

I am impressed by Awaziem again. So composed and reassuring.

Val. Is one for the future if he keeps his head low and keep working hard.

Marcus is very talented player. But still need some polishing. But I would have in the Eagles anyday over Iwuala..

For the coach,Rohr, I am disappointed. No minutes for Olayinka! Unless he is injured. I Don’t understand the rational for his omission.

For what’s worth, we did well.we held our own. I believe we have the quality to go for gold in the Afcon and qualify for the world cup.

  • You guys should relax. The reason for these friendlies is to check out additions to the team. We don’t have to win win always. Teams have lost friendlies and win tournaments. Relax. Don’t feel bad. We missed more players than Cameroon. Out team is still strong. We will qualify for world cup.

From the friendlies, Marcus is in for me. Olayinka still need to be given more chances.

Let sodiq, dessrrs and ejuke together with lookman and ejaria join the team when they are cleared. We are on course. Relax.

Guys believe me when I tell u, even with our starting 11 (ekong, balogun, ebuehi, Sanusi, ndidi, iwobi, aribo, Kalu, chukwueze, osimen) we will still struggle to beat cameroon, yes we beat them in AFCON but it wasn’t as if we dominated the game, remember they were leading us 2:1, if they had a tactical coach and played their defensive style, we could easily have lost that game. The match against caneroon is always close (margin of defeat is only 1 in most games) except the 4:0 outlier, nobody here would have predicted that scoreline. For me personally, tge result doesn’t matter but what I was really hoping was to see new faces and those previously tried but with limited playing time used to really guage dia ability, am disappointed that didn’t happen. People say olayinka needs to be given more chances, when will dat be? @Jimmyball my broda, I don’t buy your argument that Moffi is for the future, I think the guy is ready now. You could see the difference with him there compared to Onuachu even tho both played alongside ineffective Iheanacho, although miffi fluffed a half chance which he miskicked but all in all he was aggressive. I believe if he had played with Olayinka as the support striker, SE would have played much better. For me, I still believe our top strikers are osimen, Sadiq and Moffi in that order.

Also most coaches have taken the template from Algeria on how to ruffle tge eagles feather. They now know you need to press the SE high up to force them to carelessly kick the ball anywhere belle face, thats why to me we need 2 holding midfielders, so they can always be options for our defenders when pressured by the opposition forward players. Its clear for everyone to see that playing Shehu at RB is a waste of his ability, pair him and ndidi in the middle of the park especially against African opposition, we will win lots of balls and we would easily be able to play out of tge back.

I still believe 9ja has what it takes to win the AFCON,today’s match or last week’s doesn’t change that. It was a friendly match and should be viewed as such. As much as tge coach should take most of the blame, to his defense, he said the result doesn’t matter and cameroon is no pushover. What happened to the refresher course NFF proposed for GR, he should sharply go take it ooo lol. NFF knows they can’t fire GR at the present time bcos they have no legal justification to do do so, they NFF are owing him and are complaining of lack of funds, also he has so far net the target set out for him, so what is tge justification? He wasn’t tasked to win friendly matches was he? However, he and his crew needs to be better and the NFF too, owing players and coaches could jeopardize our WC qualification ooo. Just my take

From the match I watched I didn’t really see anything special about that Moffi guy. He wasn’t aggressive enough for a SuperEagles striker. In fact I think we had a better chance of scoring with Onuachu than Moffi in both games. The only positive is Marcus and he’s still very raw in my opinion. Olayinka was injured prior to the game maybe that’s why he wasn’t risked to avoid aggravating it. All in all we held our own against one of our perennial rivals. Anyone who thinks this Cameroon team is not good should think again. The fact they’re hosting the AFCON makes them one of the undisputed favorites.

@AY my broda, compare his workrate to that of Onuachu’s, u will see that it was night and day. If Iheanacho was chasing the ball the way Moffi was doing, maybe something positive would’ve come out of it. Hiw many passes did he get? Other than the 1st 5-10 mins Onuachu played in tge 1st match where he headed a ball straight at tge goalie and the shot he took, he was falling down tge rest of tge game. U will see Moffi hunt for the ball and instead of kele to join him in hounding the cameroonian backline, he will stay behind doing seniorman, wasting opportunities. I personally if Moffi is given the chance to play with these set of SE like Onuachu has been afforded he will distinguish himself. if after playing for tge SE for almost 3 years with guys that you are familiar with you aren’t a better goal threat than someone who just got his 2nd cap, then there is a problem. I was specifically talking about Moffi’s workrate relative to Onuachu’s and Iheanacho’s

If you have a reliable source, kindly let us know.
As it stands, Lookman and Ejaria clearance is still pending.
