pls where can one stream the match live

  • Nice to see that Dennerby had rung changes to the starting line up. Hope it works.

It appears that he clearly wasn’t happy with the goalkeeping and also I think he wants to make good on his promise to add fluidity to the midfield with Uchendu’s introduction.

    Fingers crossed.

    live stream pls

  • If ur opponent is playing 4 5 1 and u are playing 4 3 3 den one of ur last defender wil want to join d middle line and dat wil bring a cracking of ur defence. And this are ladies dat at times wil not ve d strength to cover up. D 4 5 1 format gives more steng the to d opponent in d middle because dey only looking to break lose. Fast for their last lady upfront dat even joined d middle at ease..so how market coach. Better adjust ur team be4 it is too late . I can see ur lairs can’t move forward.

Up SuperFalcons!!!!! Great win by these fabulous ladies. Pace and Power on the counter with a fantastic defensive approach. For the first time I saw a defensive master class from a Nigerian team. Kudos to coach Dennerby for being so brave to make those changes particularly in the goalkeeping area. I think Nigeria might have found another great goalkeeper since Ann Chiejine in Chiamaka Nnadozie.

The Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) will conduct another round of Magnetic Resonance Imaging ( MRI) Test on six players of the Nigeria U17 team that failed the last test prior to the Africa U17 Cup of Nations, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

NFF decided to conduct the test after one player who allegedly failed the test alongside six others passed same test in another hospital and also same hospital where the first test was done.

36 Lions Azeez Oseni was among the players said to have failed the test as he fell into grade six per the result of the second test done on the players, a result which his team disputed and went for further test.

The first test done in Lagos certified him fit for the U17s and to be sure of the results, the management of his team decided that the player should return back to the hospital in Abuja where it was reported that he failed the test.

To the surprise of everyone including the coach of the Nigerian team when they were made aware few days ago, Oseni passed the test with flying colors and that immediately sparked talks of victimization on certain players.

Oseni’s case is one of the several issues that has made the NFF to organize another round of test for six players including Oseni who were key players for the team before the U17 AFCON where they finished 4th but yet qualified for the World Youth Championship.

Owngoalnigeria.com gathered that the test will be conducted on the players when the team resume training for the WYC with the NFF also investigating the likelihood of ‎sabotage as the tests and results was handled by staff of the federation attached to the team.

  • Chidinma Okeke! That’s what I’m talking about! Thumbs up too to Nnadozie, the goalkeeper. Thank goodness Dernneby went for youth and pace. Okeke has not only got agility, quick thinking and a sharp eye, but she’s also actually tactically disciplined too with a cool head to go with it. Beautiful! I thought experience would be her undoing. I was wrong!

  • Nigeria SuperFalcons really showed what they have got today.. @Coach Dennerby made great changes which paid off. The Goalkeeper was exceptional with her handling, reflexes, and Confidence I thumbed her up. That lady okeke should remain in our starting lineup. She is awesome. Please Bye bye to Micheal. I love our switch style of Play. They were all fantastic today. Great cohesion, they tap and held the ball well. Dennerby just showing he is a good coach. In our match against france, I believe the same line up should be retained. In the last game which they lost by 3goals, i lost lots of confidence in the team but Today.. My confidence got back. Thumbs up superFalcon…

    Great win…! Great relief.
Disciplined display. If power and pace is all we have, then why hide it because we want to be seen as sexy…?
Oya let’s go and die dia against France.

  • greenturf 5 years ago

What is the name of the player who assisted Oshoala for the second goal?

    • That’s Chidinma Okeke that has taken up the place of Faith Michael, who’s been ruled out of the tournament with injury. The girl is gooooood!

      • greenturf 5 years ago

Why would a talent like that kept on the reserves in our first match?that lady was outstanding!i learn’t she plays her football in the local league if i’m right.

To God be the glory. Thank you coach Dennerby. Thank you Super Falcons of Africa. The confidence is back. What Super Eagles failed to do, Super Eagles can do it much better.

The coach is very confident that he have what it takes to delivered. He rings charges and he delivers a good result in the end. Kudos to you coach.

We still have Alaba Jonathan which she even better that the one in goal post today. Coach Rohr and his fans, hope you guys are watching ba? How market? My team is young. You with your kerewa, kerewawa goalkeepers? You go see wela this time around ooo. You see now that Nigerians are happy seeing their playing good football? I don’t hate you but just give us good team and good football that is it.

Before the tournament, I said 6 points is what we needed from this group. I still believed it’s achievable. Super Falcons have something to prove against France. God bless Nigeria!!!

    • Ayphillydegreat 5 years ago

How market for you chief Zebrudaya?? Where have you been since we lost against Norway. You were nowhere to be found now you came here whining as usual. The real fans have been dishing out instructions on what needs to be done to get a victory today. All you do is kawogbera hoping for manna to fall from heaven so that you can come hear and make a fool of yourself. Your whinnies are not constructive anymore. The only Thai see is a cry baby fooling himself on social space.

  • Comment of the live blog here, after the Norway match:

“Oshoala brilliant as I expected, the best of them all today.
Oparanozie may have just lost her starting berth today.
Midfield was weak but the greatest challenge today was lack of confidence.

Do we still have a terrific coach? Definitely yes! He’s ONLY had one year, ONE year and few months to prepare . Playing against teams that took FOUR years or more to prepare.
So in context, they were impressive today. Let’s be measured not to be overly emotional. A loss doesn’t mean the team wasn’t impressive.
Pochetinno for example ddnt start his first season in Tottenham by winning something, but the club saw that he was gradually building something. That’s how football works anywhere.Has he really won anything till now? But during his time with Spurs,he has turned down Madrid and ManU.

So the Falcons didn’t surprise me after today’s performance, how much time was the coach given to prepare?Ofcourse and it’s not like you have the players at his continuous disposal, they are all in clubs. He’s building something and I can see that.He has since spoken of making the team younger, but you can’t do that in one yr and few months.
With what he has now, we can still qualify out of that group. We can dispatch S/korea,then go with confidence against France and try for a result. So very possible.
Yet even if it doesn’t turn out that way, I’ll be okay if I see that there is a frame work the coach has erected.
    That’s how I view football.

For example I won’t grant Rohr that concession in this years Nations cup bcos he’s had more time to prepare plus he knows the African terrain so well.In any case, getting out of the group stage, won’t be so much of a challenge for d Eagles.
    Go Falcons, nothing spoil.”

I believe many of us,eg Dr Drei, has learnt some lessons.
    Cheers

    • Editing last paragraph:
“I believe many of us,eg Dr. Drey, have learnt some lessons.”

Once again Oshoala has been brilliant, yeap fatigue for her in the 2nd half, but she is pure class.
Midfield and defence much better this time and ofcourse overall you could notice astute tactical discipline Coach Dennerby is known for.
I always say the our nations cup victory wasn’t exciting in terms of flair and even dominating the ball, but I could,at least, clearly see a new found tactical awareness in the team. That’s why some of us say,the coach is building something.
      Cheers

@Ayphillydegreat, ahahah. How market indeed. Well, So you can see, have been very busy lately. So, you are missing me already? Ah…. thank you o Oga AY.

In fact, I didn’t watch the match. But if you noticed what I said when they lost in the opening match you wouldn’t accused me wrongly like this.

I’m still maintaining my point here, good or bad, I’m still going to be with the team because Super Falcons are realible and dependable. Abi no be so ni AY? HMM…. afi su u uru o lol.

God bless us all. God bless Nigeria!!!

  • Apart from the goalkeeper and okeke, the rest of the team played below par. It is time for all this oldies in the team to retire from super falcon. If not for the goal keeper, south korea would have won. We couldn’t match the pace of the koreans.

  • Proudly 9ja 5 years ago

Ade well said my brother, Ebi and rita chikwelu have no business in this team. can u blif Ebi is playing her 5th worldcup (20yrs) and chikwelu is playing her 4th worldcup (16yrs) na dia birthright? if Ebi started when she was 17yrs sef (which is unlikely) that makes her 37yrs, how can she cope with girls that are 20-25yrs. As u can see from d game today her reaction time is slow. u can’t cheat nature, d older we get our speed of reasoning slows. See how uchendu, okeke, nnadozie, oshoala, Ordega are playing, these are young girls with skill, physique and pace. Inject more youth into dis team and d team will soar. Give young girls like joy bokiri, courtney Dike, others a chance and 9ja will be a force to reckon with not with these grandmas
