Liverpool Can Still Catch Up With Man City –Van Dijk

Liverpool defender, Virgil van Dijk has warned Manchester City against relaxing or believing the title race is over now.

Following Chelsea’s 2-2 draw at home to Liverpool on Sunday, Manchester are now 10 points clear at the top of the league table.

But Van Dijk warned Pep Guardiola’s side that both Liverpool and Chelsea are going to focus on themselves and take their remaining games as they come, hoping the table could swing in their favour.

Van Dijk said he will never stop believing the Reds can still win the title, but admitted Pep Guardiola’s side are in a comfortable position.

“It’s never difficult to believe. It’s a big gap, they [Manchester City] may have the title to lose, but a lot can still happen,” he told Sky Sports.

“We have been there before, where we have had a gap in front and we gave it away, so everything is possible.

“We will focus on ourselves, Chelsea will focus on themselves, and we just have to get results, play good football and win games. It sounds pretty easy, but it’s tough, as we saw today.”
