Liverpool fullback Andrew Robertson has tipped his team to win next season’s Premier League title.
The Scottish international stated this in a chat with TribalFootball after the Reds narrowly lost the EPL title to Man City on Sunday.
For the second time in three years, the Reds finished a point behind Pep Guardiola’s side in the battle for the championship to end hopes of an unprecedented quadruple.
“It was extremely close, missing out by a point again, being over 90 points, it’s incredible,” said the Liverpool defender. “But we’ll keep going, we will bounce back next season, we will try to go again.

“The last time it happened we reacted in a pretty good fashion and we have to do that again next season. We have to be ready to compete with them again and be better than them and try to get our hands on the Premier League because it’s a good trophy to win, and we got a feel for the way Anfield might be if we did win it and we want that feeling again. We need to work extremely hard next season to get that.”
Robertson added: “There’s two emotions. First of all, gutting, of course it is. We have been beaten by fantastic champions, nobody can argue that. Man City are a great team.
“But the second feeling I have is that I’m extremely proud to be a part of this club and extremely proud to be a part of that changing room. The way the lads have gone about their business this season is special.”
Style of play
Robertson is considered by former England defender Phil Neville to be one of the best left-backs in the world, due to his pace, energy, and crossing ability. Fábio Aurélio, a predecessor for Liverpool in the same position, singled out Robertson for praise, saying “One thing that calls my attention is that he’s always improving, he’s not comfortable in his situation being first choice,” and that “The two full-backs of Liverpool right now are unbelievable. We can contest in any kind of way.”
Former Liverpool captain Sir Kenny Dalglish has said “For me, there are few, if any, better than him in his position.
