Liverpool Legend Dalglish Hails Balogun’s Fine Form For Rangers

Sir Kenny Dalglish has praised Leon Balogun after the defender made an outsatnding debut in the curtain-raiser against Aberdeen last weekend.

The centre-back was excellent at Pittodrie. He looked Composed on the ball and made a number of exciting runs out of the backline.

And Dalglish insisted that Rangers look to have produced a brilliant piece of business to get the 32year-old through the door.

“At the back, there appears too be no settling in period required for Balogun,” Liverpool legend Dalglish wrote in The Sunday Post.

“He was very effective away to Aberdeen last week, and helped the team to a clean sheet. He looks like a real leader.”

Meanwhile, one of the club’s most recent additions is Roofe. The Englishman joined from Anderlecht this week.

“I like the look of Roofe, and feel he can be a real success,” he added.

“He caught the eye at Oxford United and Leeds United, and there will be a real hunger from him to succeed at lbrox, and be a part of something special.”

It does appear to have been a good window for Rangers. They have added depth in a number of areas and that will help the club battle on several fronts this season.

The pressure is on Gerrard’s men to ensure that they challenge for the title this term. But their work in the window has surely boosted their chances of getting their hands on silverware.

Hmmm, this is the same Balogun that was not good enough to make the match day squad in many games, according to our good friends at B&H, who last season preferred to die completely with Duffy and Dunk than give Balogun a chance. Interestingly, Webster got many opportunities as well. So in their minds, these 3 guys are head and shoulders better than Balogun, a world cup defender? I laugh in Patois. I’m happy that a legend like Kenny Dalglish made this statement. If the folks at B&H want to argue that Dalglish is talking nonsense, they should go ahead. We are all ears! Lol!
