Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola has confirmed that the club definitely needs to sign another winger this summer to help cover attacking areas following Mohamed Salah’s departure.
While the club recently added highly rated Victor Munoz from Osasuna, Iraola is looking for further reinforcements to complement the squad’s different skill sets.

The Reds have been actively linked with multiple wide players on the market, including PSG’s Bradley Barcola and other elite options.
Speaking during his preseason press conference in Chicago, Iraola stated they won’t seek a like-for-like replacement but rather a player with different skills to complement the current squad.
“It is difficult to say a number when the market is open,” he said.
“You have to be always open to new options to improve the squad. There are obvious situations where we know we need to sign players. Winger, for example. We definitely need to sign a winger.
“The other situations, we will have to analyse what the market gives you, what the cost is, how we also see the players we have.
“We have some tricky positions where we have injured players that we trust that are not in the ideal situation.”

Iraola was appointed in early June, with the first summer signing – centre-back Jeremy Jacquet – already secured months before.
His second senior addition, Victor Munoz, was signed during Spain’s run to World Cup glory, but the Reds will hope to have him ready for the start of the new season after a break.
