Lookman Nominated For Europa League Player Of The Week Award

Ademola Lookman has been nominated for the Europa League Player of the Week award.

UEFA announced Lookman, two of his Atalanta teammates and a Bayer Leverkusen player for the award.

Lookman’s nomination was not a surprise following his hat-trick heroics in Atalanta’s 3-0 win against Leverkusen in the Europa League final on Wednesday.

He made history as the first-ever player to score a hat-trick in the Europa League final.

Also, he has now taken his tally in all competitions to 15 this season.

Going into the final against the Bundesliga champions, Lookman had finished runner-up at the AFCON 2023 and Coppa Italia.

Atalanta have now landed their first-ever European title and their first trophy since 1963.

The winner of the Player of the Week will be decided by fans votes.
