Lookman Reacts To Atalanta Transfer

Ademola Lookman can’t hide his excitement after completing his move to Serie A club, Atalanta, reports Completesports.com.

Lookman linked up with Atalanta from Bundesliga club, RB Leipzig on Thursday night

The deal believed to be worth €15m including add-ons.

The 24-year-old penned a four-year contract with the option of another season.

Lookman took to social media to express his happiness on the transfer.

“Happy to be in my new home 🇮🇹 @Atalanta_BC,”he wrote on his Twitter handle.

The pacy winger joined RB Leipzig from Everton in 2019 for around €17m but failed to tie down a regular playing berth at the German club.

Lookman played just 24 games across all competitions for the club scoring five goals and recording four assists.

The player, who represented England at youth level before switching international allegiance to Nigeria, spent last season on loan at Leicester City where he scored eight goals and provided five assists in 42 appearances across all competitions.

He also spent the 2020/21 campaign on loan at Fulham, where he contributed eight goals.

  • Good move by all standards. Firstly, he will have a stable career now because switching from one club to another doesn’t help player’s career.

    He will also have a chance to play in European competitions, especially Champions League.

    However, his performance this season will go a long way in determining if he will achieve more.
