When the draw of 2019/afcon was made on the 12th day of April, there are many SE fans who came here to jubilate that SE has a very easy group. I laughed at some comments here, some book makers even say the Group D is the group of death. But I’m here to say group A And group B are the group of death. Let me start my analysis. Group A has Egypt, DRC, Uganda and Zimbabwe, looking at this group critically and analytically you will agree With me that bar Egypt which happen to be the host nation and for the fact that they will enjoy massive home support. the remaining 3 team has equal strength. I watch almost all the afcon 2019 qualifier matches, Zimbabwe is a team to watch out for, they won their first game at home by beating Liberia 3:0 in harare. They went to Brazzaville and they almost got Congo Brazzaville beaten in their back yard the match eventually ends two all draw, they defeated DRC right there in Lubumbashi by a lone goal. Zimbabwe would have beaten Egypt if they are in the same group in afq. Uganda is a team that has really improved tremendously for over 4 years now. They have Mitcho to thank for laying the foundation of this team before he deported for club coaching in SA. They qualified with a game to spare. DRC is undoubtedly one the fire power of Africa football, remember they almost qualify for 2018 world cup, only for them to play a two all draw with Tunisia when they needed the to win the last game. So as it stand this group is the real group of death.

For group B. Nigeria and Guinea look favorite on paper but there is every tendency that either Burundi or Madagascar could shock SE if care is not taken. This is a team that’s coming to Afcon for the first ever time in their history incidentally the will be facing one of the tournament “favorite” so they will want to proof a pint because they have nothing to loose in that game considering the pedigree of our Darling SE in Africa. So the pressure will be more on SE than Burundi, same goes for Madagascar against Syli national of Guinea. So at the end there may be a shocker. More analysis on this coming soon.
