Maja Seeks To Increase Goal Tally As Fulham Battle Burnley

Super Eagles forward, Josh Maja will seek to consolidate on his goal-scoring exploit in the Premier League as Fulham visit Burnley on Wednesday.

Maja opened his goals account with a brace in the team’s 2-0 win over Everton on Saturday after making a move to the club during the January transfer window from Bordeaux in France.

The Nigeria international, who appears to have formed a good partnership with Lookman Ademola and Ola Aina, will be seeking to shoulder the goal-scoring responsibility in a bid to help the team out of the relegation table.

The triumph at Goodison Park marked the first time that Fulham manager, Scott Parker had witnessed his side pick up all three points in the Premier League since November 30 – a run of 12 matches without a win in the top flight – but there is no question that the Cottagers have started to look more solid at the back over the past couple of months.

Nevertheless, Parker’s men make the trip to Burnley with the knowledge that they are yet to taste defeat on the road in any competition since the turn of the year – winning two and drawing four – and 12 of the 19 top-flight goals that Fulham boast this season have come on unfamiliar territory.
