Man City Had Good First Half Against Newcastle –Guardiola Appraises Home Win

Manchester City , Pep Guardiola has praised his team’s first half performance United in their 2-0 win against Newcastle United at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva scored a goal each to give City the win.

Guardiola said after the game that Foden was key to the win.

“They had chances to score, it’s Newcastle, they are exceptional,” ManCity.com quoted Guardiola as saying

“Set pieces were cheap, every corner kick you have to look to the sky. After we got the game with a brilliant action from Phil. We were a bit lucky with the deflection . We missed that a bit this season, his positivity. We made a really good first half. The second they start really well and we break the game.”

Manchester City are second in the Premier League table with a 58 points after 26 matches.

They play Crystal Palace next on Saturday March 11 at the Selhurst Park Stadium.
