Manchester United Boss Ten Hag Prefers Osimhen To Kane

Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag is reportedly in favour of a move for Victor Osimhen over Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.

The Red Devils are in the market for a new striker following Cristiano Ronaldo’s departure last year.

United brought in Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley last month but see Netherlands international as a temporary option.

According to the Telegraph, Ten Hag is said to have a preference for Osimhen.

The Dutchman believes that the 24-year-old is not only more attainable, but may be a better long term option.

Osimhen has scored 16 goals in 17 league appearances for Serie A leaders Napoli this season.

The Nigeria international has a contract with the Partenopei till June 2025.

Out of 100 coaches, 60 would prefer the new highly technical version of V-Osi to Harry Kane, If I am not exaggerating! Osimhen is a type of striker defenders won’t like to face because of his strength, pace and agility.

Very true @ Unique. Mbappe, Osimene and Haaland don’t only score goals but they will drive players/team spirit far away from them You don’t ever wanna play against such strikers as a defender, cos you will be doing a whole season’s work in one match. Late Yekini, Gabriel Batistuta etc were like that.

@Glory My brother no be lie, Osimhen has become a nightmare for defenders. He just need to be more clinical, especially with his left foot!

  • Osigoal is a perpetual manace to any defender irrespective of the race. The coach that knows his onion would prefer V.Osimhen to a striker like Harry Kane. Osimhen is a monster on the pitch.
I believe that with the right midfielders and right partnership up front SE would gel

Kane is a better finisher than Osimhen. But Osimhen has more energy and pace to burn.
If you want a clinical marksman who can score with a half chance, Kane is the man. But if you want a striker that will hassle opposing defenders to exhaustion, Osimhen is the preferred option.
If Osimhen starts finishing like Kane, he will officially become unplayable.

    • Unbiased review Pompei, I love it.

Kane for now is a world class support striker with the vision to deliver top notch assists that are unmatched in world football, Osihmen is not there yet in the support striker department but he is a handful for defenders. When it comes to finishing, Kane’s accuracy is the stuff of the gods. But take nothing away from our Osihmen, he will browbeat defenders and he definitely knows his way to goal with grace, poise and elegance. Osihmen does good numbers as seen this season in Italy.

For now, as a cool head, experienced, all-around centre forward, I think Kane has a slight edge over Osihmen. The key word there is “slight”.

Hmmmmn…Osihmen may not have the finishing instinct of Kane, because he’s younger, obviously, but what about his pace, his power, his head power? He’s ahead of Kane in these perspectives.

I hope u guys saw what Osimihen did to the three Juventus Brazilian defenders, Bremer the brick was committing a school boy error because  Osimihen  the menace. There’s no defender in this world right now that can play Osimihen one on one. People talking about new Drogba I disagreed  I’m seeing new Opong Weah.

  • Those who are saying Kane this Kane that Osimhen is not yest there Loooool!!!.. Name a player who sis scoring every game since Haaland and Salah a few seasons ago. this kind of ability is unmatched Osimhen is World Class and X factor Player better than Kane in my books yes maybe not a finished product if you have to gauge by his potential however the level he still is higher than 95% of attackers today so in that sense his full potential and that of Haalands is scary. my case closed

Currently the four best strikers in world football are Halland,Mbappe,Osimhen and Lewandowski.
Kane is a very good striker a proven world class professional who has proven over the years to master the art of scoring goals.
His best quality aside being a good finisher is his ability to play with the ball to his feet.He has flair making it easy to play with two upfront as well very good as a lone striker.
Osimhen has been slowed unfortunately by injuries the past couple of seasons, but has shown when healthy and available.
His power play aren’t the only quality this young lad possesses,he falls back to help out with defence duties,he is selfless and one of the best headers in world football, his acceleration, quickness and shooting ability is world class.
I understand some fans want to be modest with there assessment but in my candid opinion without being biased Osimhen is ahead of Kane right now.
Meanwhile, was listening to commentary in Napoli’s last fixtures when one of the commentators was asked “where would Osimhen be ranked in world football at the moment”He replied among the four best!
