Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur To Rival Chelsea For Orban

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have joined Chelsea in the race for KAA Gent forward, Gift Orban.

It was reported earlier this week that Chelsea are interested in signing the Nigerian forward.

The Blues, according to the report want to sign Orban and then loan him out to another club.

The West London club now face competition from their Premier League rivals for the striker.

According to the Evening Standard, a host of Europe’s top clubs have sent scouts to watch him play.

Orban has scored 19 goals and registered two assists in 19 games across all competitions for the club.

The young striker scored 18 goals in 23 games for Stabaek in the Norwegian second tier before moving to Gent in January.

He is under contract until 2027 and Gent would only be tempted to sell for a huge fee.

Young man, steer clear of the EPL for now. You dont have the 75% international appearances requirements the home office needs for you to get a work permit to play EPL football.

You will become a football nomad of some sort should you take that plunge as they will constantly loan you to clubs outside the UK for years before you acquire the nesserary number of caps to qualify for a British work permit.

Candid advise….steer clear of EPL clubs for now…!!!

    • It is only 8 Caps he needs, and the Problem doesn’t lie with the Premier League the problem lies with NFF that is how they finished the career of Ezekiel Imoh of Standard Liege in the days of Keshi… NFF needs to learn that not Capping the right talents will hamper their growth.

So he has gotten 8 competitive SE caps in the last 2 years….??? Or he will get 8 competitive SE caps before the end of the next transfer window…???

  • The home office grants work permit to African footballers based on 5 condition
    1. 70% international caps
    2. Transfer fee exceeding a certain amount which is adjusted every season.
    3. Exceptional talents who are pronounced exceptional by a recognized body,or coach.
    4. having adopted parents who are citizens in any European Union nation.
    5. Home grown talent that was admitted into a UK academy before the age of 13 years.

    1. IN the last 3 years only (Etebo) is the Super Eagles player that has entered the English game with number one Condition.
    2. Wilfred Ndidi got into the EPL using a transfer fee exceeding 16 million Pounds Leceister paid Genk for him in 2016.
    3. Kelechi Iheanacho, Taiwo Awoniyi, got into the EPL through the Exception talent clause….Iheanacho based on FIFA ranking at the U17 WC while Awoniyi based on scoring 20+ Bundesliga goals.
    4. Frank Onyeka and Emmanuel Dennis got into the EPL through adopted European parents.
    5. Iwobi,Moses,Aribo,Bassey, and many more enter through the home grown clause after been raised in the UK.

If Any top EPL team needs Gift Orban they know how to get him into their team so stop prophecising doom where there is no issue.

Correct Akp I love people who are loaded with information. Knowledge they say will set one free . Your explanation has taken away my fear for the young guy . To make it in life one needs to fight for e every opportunity that comes our way. That is why Osimein is exceptional I was one of thise that believed he won’t make it in Italian league. Also I doubted the ability of Taiwo to sustain the tempo of EPL ,and now the guy is doing well even better than Denis . I think what we need to succeed is much of mentality rather than skill

Hahahaha…Mr loaded with information. So which of the above can your top EPL teams succeed with before the end of the next transfer window…???

      Definitely not no 1.

Orban has to sell above the current 35m euros for an U21 player to qualify for no 2.

He has not won any youth tournaments nor any league titles at the age of 21 to qualify for no 3.

I doubt if it can be possible to quickly “arrange” adoption for him or marry him off to an EU citizen b4 September to qualify for no 4. The Belgian league is not in the top 5 of Europe (For all Henry Onyekuru’s exploits in Belgium he never got a WP to play for everton), neither is the Conference league yet considered a Band 1 Tournament

While no 5 is outright impossible.

So since it seems you know how “any top EPL team” operates, kindly enlighten us more please….LMAOOo

I dont know how a candid advice based on precedence is a prophesy of doom.

And to those claiming Awoniyi is “doing well”, just a gentle reminder that his teammates at Union are 1 point from securing their 1st ever UCL qualification, while Taiwo isnt sure if he’ll play topflight football next season yet.

So much for the definition of “success”
