Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca has disclosed that he is fully prepared for an aggressive Bournemouth side ahead of his first Premier League match in charge at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Maresca noted that Bournemouth maintain a very clear identity and high-intensity approach under new head coach Marco Rose, carrying over the aggressive traits they showed under Andoni Iraola.

He emphasized that his team knows exactly what to expect both on and off the ball as they kick off the new campaign.
“I watched the game, I watched the pre-season game. I also watched some games from last season, when he was at another club. You can see clearly the identity.
“A very aggressive team. They already were aggressive with Andoni (Iraola), and they still are. It’s quite clear what they do on the ball and off the ball.”
On Jeremy Doku: “In the last game at half time he was complaining about a bit of pain in the calf. We didn’t want him to play more than 45 minutes so the change was planned. At the moment it is looking about two to three weeks, no more than that.”

Maresca also deflected transfer speculation linking his side with Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández, insisting it would be a lack of respect to discuss another club’s player.
“Enzo (Fernandez) is a Chelsea player, and I’m not going to talk about players that are not with us. First of all, because I think it’s a lack of respect, and second because I don’t like when different managers talk about our players…”
