Marquinhos has joined Brazilian club Cruzeiro on a permanent transfer from Arsenal.
This is according to European football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The 22-year-old winger joined Cruzeiro on loan in January.
The deal included an obligation to buy clause that would be triggered after playing a certain number of games.
“It’s over between Arsenal and Marquinhos as Brazilian winger joins Cruzeiro on permanent deal until 2028,” Romano wrote on X.
Arsenal had no desire to loan the winger out again as he is not in Mikel Arteta’s plans.
On 8 September 2022, Marquinhos made his competitive debut for Arsenal in a 2-1 win against Zurich in the Europa League.
He made his Premier League debut on 18 September coming on as a late substitute for Bukayo Saka in a 3-0 win at Brentford.
He was sent out on loan to Norwich, Nantes, Fluminense and Cruzeiro.
