Marseille Turn To Former Spurs Man

Marseille will reportedly appoint Andre Villas-Boas as their new manager in the coming days.

The 41-year-old has been out of work since 2017 after leaving Shanghai SIPG but the French club are ready to give him the reigns at the Stade Velodrome.

Current coach Rudi Garcia will step down at the end of the campaign after he failed to secure European football this season. Last year’s Europa League finalists had been looking to qualify for the Champions League this season but they will finish outside the top four.

Garcia will take charge of his last match on Friday against Montpellier and Villas-Boas, who has also been linked with the Celtic job, may well end up being his replacement.

Villas-Boas nearly joined Marseille before he took the Zenit St Petersburg job in 2014, but it now appears that a deal is finally imminent between the pair.
