The highly anticipated rematch between boxing legends Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, previously slated for September 19, 2026, at the Sphere in Las Vegas, has been postponed indefinitely.
Pacquiao’s camp cited a volatile mix of financial gridlock, scheduling conflicts, and legal disputes entirely surrounding Mayweather’s team.

The delay was compounded when the events company CSI sued Mayweather to recover at least $4.65 million of the money paid to him for exclusive rights to the promotional event. Additionally, a linked Mayweather exhibition in Greece was recently called off after an injunction was sought.
According to statements released by Pacquiao’s representatives, the earliest the mega-fight could potentially be rescheduled is early 2027.
“Should Mayweather and CSI settle their internal contract disputes out of court, promoters will immediately pivot to rescheduling a postponed exhibition between Mayweather and Mike Tyson, tentatively targeting 12 September,” the Pacquiao team statement said.

Mayweather, who has won all 50 of his professional fights, and Pacquiao, a winner of 12 world titles across eight weight classes, fought in 2015, in what was billed as the ‘Fight of the Century’ and remains the richest in boxing history.
Since stepping away from professional boxing in 2017, Mayweather has had a number of exhibition fights, including a bout against YouTuber Logan Paul.
