Messi Scores 1st-Half Hat-Trick In Argentina Win Over Curacao, Bags Record 100 Goals

Argentine legend, Lionel Messi scored a first-half hat-trick during La Albiceleste (The Sky Blue) 7-0 win over Curacao in an international friendly match on Wednesday, March 29 at the Estadio Unico Madre de Ciudades. And he thus became the first Argentina player to score 100 international goals.

With his hat-trick against Curacao adding.on, Messi currently has 102 goals and 54 assists in 174 games for Argentina. He has a total of 803 career goals and 354 assists in 1018 matches.

It’s Messi’s seventh hat-trick so far for Argentina and his 57th overall career hat-trick.

Messi takes on Curacao players in Wednesday’s international friendly match at Estadio Unico Madre de Ciudades, Argentina.

Messi scored the first goal of the game in the 20th minute and Nico Gonzalez made it 2-0 three minutes later.

Messi scored again in the 33rd minute before laying on an assist for Enzo Fernandez to blast a shot into the net.

Messi found the net in the 37th minute to complete his hat trick.

Subsequent goals from Angel di Maria and Gonzalo Montiel completed the routing of hapless Curacao.

The Albiceleste have won the FIFA World Cup three times (Argentina ’78, Mexico ’86 and Qatar 2022).
