Former Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel stands a little chance of featuring for Stoke City who go on the road trip against Queens Park Rangers at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.
Mikel who got injured in an away fixture against Sheffield Wednesday late last month was not listed by Stoke in the goalless draw away to Derby County at the weekend making it the fourth Consecutive games the midfielder has missed for Stoke.
Stoke City coach Michael 0’Neill while speaking at his pre-match press conference on Monday said the Nigerian remained doubtful for QPR game as the club was wary of rushing him back too early.
“We’ll assess John Obi today, He trained for part of the session yesterday, but the important thing is not bringing players back too early and risking re-injury.

Meanwhile, Mikel’s compatriot Bright Osayi-Samuel is on line to feature for host team QPR who will be looking to avoid a second straight losses at home.
Osayi-Samuel started and played for 79 minutes but could not help QPR from losing 1-0 at home against Reading complete with compatriots Ovie Ejaria and Sone Aluko at the weekend.
Mikel has started in all his 14 Championship appearances for stoke while 0sayi-Samuel has made 16 appearances for QPR with two goals and three assists to his credit.
