Super Eagles midfielder Alhassan Yusuf has been named Major League Soccer , MLS, Player of the Week following his impressive display for New England Revolution.
Yusuf grabbed a hat-trick as New England Revolution cruised to a 3-0 victory over D.C. United on Wednesday.
The emphatic win ended the Revs’ three-game winless run and boosted their position in the Eastern Conference standings.
The Nigeria international scored twice in the first half to put Marko Mitrović’s side firmly in control of the encounter.

Yusuf completed his hat-trick six minutes after the hour mark to cap a memorable individual performance and secure maximum points for the visitors.
The midfielder has now registered five goals and two assists in 20 league appearances for New England Revolution this season.
The Revs currently occupy fourth position in the Eastern Conference table with 33 points from 20 matches.
New England Revolution will look to build on the victory when they host New York City FC at Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, on Sunday.
