AS Monaco’s CEO Thiago Scuro has dropped a major transfer bombshell, with the club confirming that USMNT striker Folarin Balogun will be made available for transfer when the winter window opens in January.
The announcement sets the stage for a high-profile scramble for the former Arsenal forward, who has experienced an up-and-down spell in Ligue 1 since making his high-profile move to the principality club.

Speaking with RMC Sport, Scuro has signaled a willingness to entertain permanent bids for the American international, shifting their squad planning ahead of the second half of the season.
“We had an agreement with Balogun,” Scuro told RMC Sport.
“What happened with him changes our plans for this winter a little. But that was the original plan: that we find a solution for Balogun. After that, we have no control over all the (upcoming) decisions for this winter.”
Scruro continued: “If we have the opportunity to give a better balance to the team, we will do it,” Scuro added.

“We have a lot of players at the offensive level, but I think we lack options in other positions. I’m not very happy with what we did this summer. And now, we need corrective solutions.”
Given his proven goalscoring pedigree in France and his international profile with the United States, several clubs across Europe and the Premier League are expected to circle when the market opens.
