Moreno Keen On Sevilla Return

Alberto Moreno has confirmed that he would like to rejoin Sevilla this summer when his contract at Liverpool expires at the end of June. The 26-year-old Spanish full-back made 44 appearances and won the 2013-14 Europa League with the Andalusian outfit before leaving to join Liverpool in a £12million deal in summer 2014.

Moreno has made 141 appearances for the Reds, but gradually fell out of favour due to the form of Andrew Robertson and he was restricted to just two Premier League outings this past season. Therefore, he is looking to join a new club when his current deal expires this month and a return to Sevilla would suit him.

“It would be nice to return home and enjoy the fans again,” Moreno told ABC de Sevilla. “Life is to live. There is no other way you can make plans but this kind of thing (the death of former Sevilla teammate Jose Antonio Reyes) makes you think.

“I’ve lived in Liverpool for five years and I’m looking forward to a new adventure, but my friends are asking me where, but I do not know yet. My agent, Javier Moya, is dealing with these issues. “New Sevilla boss Julen Lopetegui? I like him a lot, although the year we won the European Under-21 we had a lot of good players, he was the soul of everything and how that team played with the ball.”
