Following reports that Ligue 1 club Monaco were keen on Fulham’s Jean Michael Seri, fellow French outfit Lyon have now been linked. The 27-year-old joined the Cottagers last summer after three years with Nice, penning a four-year deal in west London.
However, following Fulham’s relegation it seems likely he will only play for one of those years as the Ivory Coast international seeks top-flight football elsewhere. Monaco were linked earlier in the week but French outlet le10sport are now suggesting Les Gones will offer him a route out of the Championship to Lyon.

Serri did not make the expected impact for Fulham’s three managers last term – one of a number of players who failed to live up to the hype after Slavisa Jokanovic’s spending spree 12 months ago. They forked out £25m taking him to the Cottage but it remains to be seen if they can recoup anywhere near that figure from any possible sale in the off-season.
It is thought that Scott Parker will look to bolster his defensive ranks before the start of the new campaign after watching his side concede 81 times in the Premier League. While there might not be so much quality in England’s second tier, it is widely regarded as one of the toughest leagues in world football due to the number of games and physical nature of the players on view.
