Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo’s teammate at Spanish LaLiga side, Aymane Mourid, has been included in Morocco’s 18-man squad for the 12th All Africa Games billed to get underway in Rabat, Morocco, this Friday, Completesports.com reports.
Mourid,19, is the only overseas-based player in the squad of the Junior Atlas Lions who are in the same Group A with Nigeria’s Flying Eagles. He is also the captain of the side.
The young defender recently joined CD Leganes from an Academie Mohammed, an academy outfit in Morocco. He has so far featured prominently for the La Liga side’s B team.
Nigeria coach, Paul Aigbogun’s 18-man squad list for the Games is comprised of an all home-based players.
Nigeria and Morocco will cross each other’s path in their last Group A match of men’s football event on August 23.
Morocco will get their campaign underway on Friday at Moulay, Rabat against South Africa while Nigeria take on Burkina Faso at the same venue soon after.
The Moroccan squad unveiled Tuesday night has Raja Casablanca, FAR and FUS provide three players each with Khouribga providing two players.
