Morrison Berates Magalhaes For Cheating With Simulation Against Iheanacho

Former Crystal Palace striker, Clinton Morrison, has slammed Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes for falling under minimal contact from Leicester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, in the 32nd minute of their Premier League clash on Sunday.

The Gunners defeated the Foxes 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium, with goals from Thomas Partey and Alexander Lacazette to move to fourth place with a point ahead of Manchester United with three outstanding matches.

In the 32nd minute of the game , Magalhaes went down after Iheanacho flicked his hand towards his face and kept writhing on the ground. The Nigerian was issued a yellow card for the action.

However Morrison believes that Magalhaes should be guilty of simulation.

“In our day and age someone like Alan Shearer would give Gabriel something like that every game,” Morrison tod BBC Sport of the Brazilian’s antic.

“Come on, a big centre half and he goes down like that, he has made a meal of that, Morrison.”

The Nigerian coach must weigh his onions in choosing his 1st 11 against Ghana to avoid defeat.

@Harlyis, let me quote you, “The Nigerian coach must weigh his onions in choosing his 1st 11 against Ghana to avoid defeat”..

  • Some of these players are not supposed to be on Eguavoen’s standby list if not that certain federal character must be met. I challenged the coaching crew to deploy the very best against Ghana instead of playing zoning politics like the coming presidential election. As Nigerians, we desire confident players.

Me too, I prefer on merit to. which region a player comes from. With coach Austin Eguavoen on the saddle, I see us overcoming the Black Stars even if we have to field those substitutes on the bench.

We all saw how those players disappointed us in Afcon when they were needed most to trap and tap in, thou Okoro_Ghana man shying away from here.

Don’t blame him, it’s possible he didn’t watch Afcon. I tell you and for those of us that saw Afon, it was clear Eguavoen main strikers were unfortunately unavailable. The match against Tunisia would have been 4.1 in our favor.
