Moses’ Spartak Moscow Mock Arsenal After Defeat To Chelsea

Struggling Arsenal have been ruthlessly mocked on social media by Russian Premier League side Spartak Moscow as they become a laughing stock around Europe.

The Gunners are winless and goalless after their opening two games of the Premier League season, having been defeated by Brentford and Chelsea in successive weeks.

That poor start to the new campaign has come despite Arsenal being the highest spenders in the summer transfer window in the top-flight so far.

Under-fire boss Mikel Arteta has brought in five new players already, having signed Aaron Ramsdale, Martin Odegaard, Ben White, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares.

The pressure has ramped up on Arteta following the opening two matches, with Chelsea running out comfortable winners at the Emirates Stadium.

First-half goals from Romelu Lukaku and Reece James ultimately doomed the Gunners to defeat, with Arteta’s side now second bottom in the Premier League.

And following Chelsea’s win Spartak took the opportunity to ruthlessly mock Arteta’s struggling side.

“Why couldn’t we play this Arsenal yesterday?” Spartak’s official English account posted on Twitter on Sunday, coupled with the sad face emoji.

Life is set to get even harder for Arsenal and Arteta, with a visit to reigning champions Manchester City their next outing in the league in six days’ time.
