Napoli Boss Spalletti Provides Injury Update On Osimhen

Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti has said he will make a decision on Victor Osimhen’s availability for the UEFA Champions League clash against Liverpool on Wednesday.

The Partenopei announced on their website on Monday that the forward picked a knock in the 2-0 win against Monza last weekend and partially trained with his teammates.

Osimhen was also not on the pitch on Tuesday morning during the opening 15 minutes of training open to the media.

“Osimhen yesterday he experienced some pain, so he didn’t train yesterday and trained separately today,” Spalletti told a press conference on Tuesday.

“Tomorrow he will train with the group provided he feels better than today. Tomorrow, if he feels up for it, he will try and shoot, try to do a bit more with the ball and if he has a positive feeling about that, like this morning, he will be available for selection.”

The 23-year-old has scored two goals in five league appearances for the Blues this season.

  • Hmmm… Let’s pray for this young man o! He needs humility, wisdom and tact to truly fulfill his great potential… At this moment the lad seems to need top up doses of these 3 key attributes.

Bro u are a good player no doubt but u should learn to use more of ur brain than your feet,as a striker u need to know how to outwit a stubborn defence and rescue your team at crucial moment,if u think football is by garagara u will end up getting yourself injured more often
I know some fans here will think am high but that’s just d gospel truth,if u have watch oshimen this season u will understand talking about his outfield attitude I can’t really say anything but his onfield attitude I think is passion driven, oshi u can do better

@Chidi you are very right about your observations, top notch.

If I were Osimhen, I will get a lot of match videos of Haaland, study his positioning and techniques critically and try reproducing these in training to perfection. He needs to be much more precise and clinical in his approach, be more humble and argue less with referees and play with his team mates more so they can in turn reciprocate by giving him killer passes to finish off

And most of all he needs to pray more to be closer to God. His Grace will uplift him to higher heights in Jesus name

Like you all don’t know that his teammates are selfish. They prefer to shoot rather than create chance for him to score. Out of Haaland 12 Goals this season. Pls go and check very well. About 8 to 9 of it is tap in goals because he is playing with world class wingers and midfielders who derive joy setting him up to score. Not some wanna be wingers and midfielders in Napoli that would rather shoot from an impossible angle than passing. Osimhen is just unfortunate playing in a terrible team like Napoli probably it’s a gang up bcos i have never seen a team that play and starve his striker of the needed assist to score like Napoli. Although that doesn’t change the fact that he need to work on his finishing, positioning and offside awareness. Also he need little dribbling skill to manoeuvre in tight areas. Osimhen is a fantastic striker and i pray he get a better offer from a club who will play to his strength next season.

@Dr banks thanks bro tot I was the only one observing haaland positioning and good ball sense compared to oshimen d difference between them is so much and oshimen with his controversial attitude atimes will bring down his market value n no English top team will go for such player,if u watch Bassey at ajax u will know that he won’t stay uptil 3 yrs there before big teams start coming for him, oshi build urself
