Napoli Boss Spalletti Thumbs Up Osimhen After Win At Atalanta

Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti praised Victor Osimhen after the forward produced another impressive display against Atalanta on Saturday night.

Osimhen, who conceded a penalty for Atalanta’s only goal of the game scored by his compatriot, Ademola Lookman.

The 23-year-old levelled scores for the Parthenopeans before setting up Elf Elmas for the winning goal.

Osimhen now has six goals in his last four appearances for the Naples club and eight in nine league outings this season.

The striker is also now the highest,- scoring Nigerian in the Italian top-flight with 32 goals.

“Osimhen is a player who has these sudden surges and spurts, but he needs to every now and then also figure out how to pass it and work with his teammates,”Spalletti told DAZN.

“He was a little tired , but still created chances, caused issues, and when Atalanta pushed their wing backs higher with the strikers wide, he was alone in midfield and in those situations can do more than he did tonight.”
