Napoli Pin Mammoth £150m Price Tag On Osimhen

Serie A table toppers, SSC Napoli, have set a £150 million price tag on their talismanic forward, Victor Osimehn amid the towering striker’s links for a move away from the club.

Chelsea and Manchester United are reportedly showing interest in signing the Nigeria forward.

The £150 million price tag on Osimhen, according to Football London report, seems to have put the two Premier League giants at transfer market crossroads.

The popularity of Osimhen in the transfer market comes as no surprise as he has consistently produced stellar performances so far this season. The 24-year-old forward has plundered 25 goals in 29 Serie A games this season, with only Manchester City’s Erling Haaland netting more in Europe’s top 5 leagues this season.

Osimhen’s goals have helped Napoli to the top of the Serie A table with 21 points ahead of second-placed Lazio. The Neapolitans have also advanced to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League where they will lock horns with AC Milan.

The Nigerian striker’s contract will expire in 2025, meaning he still has more years at the club. This is to say, the club is in a position to fix the huge amount of price on their star striker.

Chelsea are currently in need of a striker. Having only scored 29 league goals, which is just four more than Osimehn’s tally. But the price tag will likely scare them off. This is because Chelsea have spent a lot of money on transfers this season.

With over £600 million spent since Todd Boehly took charge of the club, they will most likely be in the Financial Fair Play net if they cough out the amount Napoli are demanding for Osimehn.

Man United are also in need of a target man after Cristiano Ronaldo left the club. The club might also be in the FFP’s net if they decide to sign him, with their current wage bill already on the high. And the £200k wage cap policy of the club. It would be somewhat difficult for the Red Devils to meet the asking price.

Osimhen, 24, has joined up with his Nigerian teammates as the Super Eagles are ready to play Guinea Bissau in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

  • This is a blessing in disguise. The napoli owner makes daniel levy look like a child. The napoli owner wants to win. The german, french, and italian league are good a recruitment. La liga and premier league care and promote their own, especially through the academy. But english hype their own so much and then they go bust. Like sancho, lingard and etc. Africans most especially Nigerians need to stop being so small minded and only think premier league. Why? Because its the only league they watch and being a former colony their Nigerians there. They want to shaku shaku and be comfortable. Premier league just have financial power. You dont see other Africans like cameroonian, ivorian and Senegalese begging to come to the  premier league. They are starters everywhere they go, especially in ligue 1. Nigerians are starters outside la liga and premier league and in uefa positioned teams. But once they reach premier league they are relegated zoned or bench player. You will be a bench warmer for an english player. Ghanians and Nigerians. are playing in championship and below. While outside the premier league they are starters in the top tier. Ivorians, cameroonians, senegalese, and congolese are starters in ligue 1. Idc what okocha got to say, what has he won significant besides best dancer? Tired of these old heads being bad mentors. Shoot sadio mane wanted to go to bayern. Premier league is not a priority, winning is. Thats why the national team will fail, just look at it

Osimhen got a good thing going on with Kava, the best duo right now, napoli is building. Osimhen is just going to be put on a team when tou dont know if he fits. Look at Nunez in liverpool. It was so disrespectful for him parading around saying “I want to play in the premier league” even on english network. Im actually surprised they didn’t discipline him like chelsea did to lukaku. Idk what man entertains another girl when hes already in a good relationship. If anybody disagrees or approves Osimhen behavior is stupid and has a child like mentality. Osimhen contract is done 2025, he aint going nowhere. You have to protect this kid. Nobody outside of Africa is begging him to play in the premier league, just look at the little comments in the videos just pure African on sky sports. Like around 200 comments when they avg above 640 on sky sports comment section. Real madrid wants kava after just under 1 year with napoli. I knew he was good when I watched him score against spain in the euro qualifying, that shot was crazy. I hope Osimhen gets picked up too by madrid. Aim higher, tired of these Nigerians sabotaging their own people

The English Premier League is where Osihmen belongs, darling. Xxx

    • Only Madrid and Maybe Barcelona can afford Osimhen’s asking price in LaLiga…….And Madrid Barca can never splash such money on a player that has not been tested in the EPL or Bundesliga instead they prefer to go to Brasil or Argentina to get players……If you look well you will notice that almost all mega signings of Madrid and Barca came from either EPL or Bundesliga…..From Bale Modric Beckham Owen hazard dembele and many more came from the EPL or Bundesliga but almost non came from the SeriaA…… Madrid and Barca see SeriaA as a lesser league and they don’t like spending too big on players from there……But in The EPL we have almost 5 clubs that can afford Osimhen’s asking price……. Newcastle Man utd Man City Chelsea Liverpool and Arsenal……And EPL big teams have a habit of spending big on players regardless of the league they come from…….Enzo from benfica, Mudryk from Kiev, Anderson from benfica,Bruno from sporting, Pepe from Lille and many more…….So osimhen stands a better chance of moving up the ladder of football using the EPL or else you want him to remain stagnant and stay in Napoli…….. Lastly please stop using other players to judge osimhen……. osimhen has his own destiny…… osimhen has his own playing style……His playing style is totally different from the players you guys are judging him with……. Osimhen is a modern day striker who is very rare in world football……It’s very difficult to have a 6+ foot striker that is that strong with lightning speed as osimhen……. Normally tall strikers are lanky and slow with little strength but Osimhen’s case is different…….He is strong ,he can jump ,he can run, he can finish well with both legs, he moves into space ……. osimhen is a complete striker…….stop all this your talk because people might start suspecting you of envy.

The guy above is a big asshole, the f00l is saying total nonsense he says we should stop our small mindedness but he is displaying that by uttering crap that osimhen would be benched in the premier League and kvara is a better player than Osimhen “hopefully madrid picks osimhen too”, hopefully? Madrid would be lucky to have a star like victor, except its not the victor i watch week in week out. I like time, it teaches us big lessons, soon every f00l out there would know how good a player vic is when he moves to another team, they would find out that it isn’t about kvara or spalletti, it all victor, victor is the system, all spalletti did was polish him and made him more consistent and tactically aware, or is it not the same vic we all watched in the under 17 who set a goal scoring record? or was it nwakali making mediocre osimhen look great then too?

  • victor is ripe for any team . people were asking him to play another season in lille when Napoli came calling but he left and see what that move is doing for his career now. if he wants to go to the english premiership he should do so but he should go for the right amount of money. and that is what Napoli wants to ensure.
