Napoli Suffer Osimhen Injury Blow

Victor Osimhen is set for a spell on the sidelines after sustaining an injury in Napoli’s home win against Liverpool on Wednesday night.

Napoli on Friday confirmed a second- degree lesion in the striker’s right bicep.

The Nigeria international according to the Partenopei has already started his recovery program.

The Super Eagles striker was forced off the pitch in the 41st minute of Napoli’s 4-1 win against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.

Osimhen won’t return to action before the September international break, meaning that he will miss matches against Spezia, Rangers and Milan.

Napoli host Torino at the Stadio Maradona after the break and face Ajax twice in a week with the away Serie A fixture against Cremonese between the two European games.

Osimhen has scored two goals in six appearances across all competitions for Luciano Spalletti’s side this season.

Osimhen’s strength is turning out to be his achilles heel.
His all action style is great to watch, and helps his team, but it makes him prone to injuries. He needs to find a balance.

Well said Brodaman Pompei. Our prayers are with Osimhen to look after himself.
Heaven bless Osimhen and all injured Super Eagles players.

My darling Osimhen, pls stop stressing yourself fighting for every ball since a whole team is 11. You can’t be running Helter shelter while your teammates feel it is fine to just play when they have the ball. When you eventually win balls for them, next thing they do is pass side ways or backward

By fighting for every balls, you’re really draining your energy which is supposed to be fully concentrated on getting goals.

Your teammates are not complimenting your efforts with the needed assists yet they benefit from your hustling and bustling throughout games and feel like they’re the star in the end bcoz they didn’t work their ass out like you did. If they put 50% of your energy into games am sure b4 it get to 60 minutes, they will beg the coach to sub them.

So pls, try and find a balance and stop going for every balls in other to avoid all this injury. It is getting too much and can affect your career. I purposely surf through Napoli FC Twitter Page today to see an update as per your injury and i was very sad to see that the very pple you’re putting your all to satisfy still go all out to banter you.

My prayer is for you to leave serie A next season and hopefully sign for Chelsea or Liverpool if they show interest since that’s the only top club in EPL that appreciate black players

I think oshimen need to be calm. His time will come. I think his eagerness to prove a point to the world but he does not allow it to come naturally.

Sometimes a striker loses form and the ball just refuses to go in the net. My advice to Osimhen is that this happens to every striker, and clever strikers use such situations to improve their assists. When the gods of football are against you, pass to your teammates and improve your assists and you’ll find that your fortune changes quickly.

  • Some of you writing horrible comments….at least just imagine this boy is your brother

  • We all wished he should be the penalty taker. He got it and lost one. 2 goals in 6 games is not a good stats. May be we are overating him. Time will tell.

In another way, this boy is arrogant and rude. It can affect his development and success. He hss not apologized to those he wronged. You don’t say such against an ex international and you have not apologized. It shows who he is.

I want him to succeed but his rudeness and arrogance has made me to take my attention aesy from him.

I wish him speedy recovery anyway.
