Kai Havertz will undergo an MRI scan on a hamstring injury sustained while playing for Germany.
The Arsenal striker left the pitch just 30 minutes into his country’s 1-1 Nations League draw with the Netherlands in Amsterdam on Thursday night.
Earlier in the first half, Havertz had been on the receiving end of a nasty-looking challenge from Crystal Palace’s Quinten Timber, the brother of his Arsenal teammate Jurrien Timber, as reported by talkSPORT.
As Havertz played a pass on the volley first time, Timber’s studs connected with the Gunners forward’s right knee, prompting him to go down on the ground.
Havertz tried to play on after receiving treatment but was ultimately unable to continue with a hamstring issue appearing to be the problem despite the contact from Timber being on his knee.

Germany boss Jurgen Klopp confirmed after the game that Havertz is likely to return to his club after his MRI scan.
Despite the blow of losing Havertz, though, Germany did strike first against their rivals, Felix Nmecha opening the scoring moments after his colleague had had to leave the pitch.
And it looked like Klopp was going to make a dream start to life in charge of the national team, only for Cody Gakpo – who he managed at Liverpool – to equalise for the Netherlands deep into second-half stoppage time.
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will be keeping everything crossed he won’t be without one of his key men for any great length of time.
Havertz has started all of the Gunners’ Premier League matches so far this season, scoring two goals.
